Designed for second to fourth graders, Larson describes the modern nation of Ghana on the Gold Coast of Africa and its history as a center of trade, including the trans-Atlantic slave trade and its time as a British colony in the first half of the twentieth century with short one to four or five sentence paragraphs and colorful photographs.
Pretty informative book about basic information related to Ghana. I think it's a good introduction for kids and adults of all ages. It did leave me wanting to know more and I think some aspects of the book were too simplified so I definitely will be looking for something that goes more in-depth than this.
