This book provides a sound introduction to the formation and properties of iron and steel as well as the other metals and their alloys before moving to the different processes used for forging and working them in an industrial and workshop setting. There are some insightful photos and illustrations but as ever with such books my brain quickly geot foggy as the paticulars of the practical side of things were covered, however clearly they probably are. Having said that I'm sure that to those with more of an engineering mind this book would be of great interest.
