This was not the best of books. I mean it wasn't terrible but it certainly wasn't good. I was excited to read a book about Ireland in the days of yore so they say. But it didn't live up to many of the reviews I read.

Breanne is a witch in training about to become and Ovate. When your master turns up dead, and she finds an English Knight near his body nearly dead from a fever she chooses to save his life so she can get some answers.

Ashlon is a Templar Knight who has been exiled from his home because the Pope has decided to call Ashlon and his fellow Knights heathens so he may take the riches the Templar's have gained over the years. Ashlon knows the secret mission is almost at an end. If he can find the chest that was stolen from him and prevent his heart from falling for the angelic Breanne he will be a success.

I like the characters I felt like they were well formed and relatable. Also the story had great bones in fact written by another I think it could have been great. But it felt sorta like I was reading a high school english project. The transitions were weak, there was a lot of grammar mistakes, also a lot of woulds when it should have been could. That sorta thing. At times I would have to go back and reread a sentence or a paragraph because it didn't make sense. It really felt like a weak first draft by sub-average author.

All in all it wasn't terrible but it was not worth the three bucks I spent on it.

Irish Moon is a historical paranormal romance set in the wild countryside of Ireland in the 1300s. Under the magical Irish moon, anything can happen — and beware, because not all spirits are friendly.

The story follows headstrong village princess Breanne, who is desperate to learn more about her Druid powers even if it means sneaking off in the middle of the night to meet her eccentric mentor. But when a stranger washes ashore the same night her mentor is killed, Breanne must make a decision that will change her life forever: should she protect this mysterious English knight or turn him in for murder? Mystery, magic, forbidden love and cursed cats — this story delves deep into Irish mythology and shows us why the Irish really do it best.

Irish Moon is an effortless read, the kind of story you can rip through in one day. As someone half-Irish perhaps I’m a little biased, but I really enjoyed the history and mythology in this novel — Irish folklore is dark and twisted, and makes a great backdrop for a murder mystery. I particularly enjoyed Scott’s descriptions of the countryside and the magical groves, but even the main keep is described vividly (and there’s a great scene on a staircase!).

The characters are varied and believable. Breanne is a likeable, entertaining heroine with a mind of her own, and Ashlon (the knight and love interest) has a certain honourable charm. While I didn’t like all of the characters – I mostly wanted to smack some sense into Breanne’s other love interest — I connected with them emotionally, which doesn’t always happen in romance novels as many lack character depth. Overall, though, my favourite character was the cursed cat, whose temperamental nature and sarcastic comments never failed to amuse… not to mention what he gets up to later on in the novel!

The novel does get pretty steamy, but never overly explicit; Scott strikes a great balance between too much and not enough. Perhaps my only nitpick is that the romance sometimes overtook the murder mystery plot, and that Ashlon’s storyline (and his secret mission) did not get as much attention as it deserved. The story really focuses on Breanne’s struggles, and ends soon after her problems are resolved. But then again, we can’t have it all, and I must admit that out of the many indie romances I’ve read, Irish Moon ranks highly.

In sum, I’d recommend this book to fans of historical paranormal romance -- and for $2.99 from Smashwords it's an absolute bargain.

Having never read any of Amber Scott's books before I was pleasantly surprised with this historical mixed with paranormal romance. This book is based in the 1300's Ireland. One thing I can say for sure is that I really enjoyed the Irish Folklore, especially since I don't know much about Ireland's history.

Breanne is headstrong young girl of nineteen though old in the standards of her village, everyone is eager to marry her off while she knows she must marry, she rather not at least right now not until she finishes her training but then her mentor is found dead.

Let me say I got a kick out of Finn, the cursed cat. He was crazy fun with his sarcastic comments. And many of you know just how much I love a sarcastic character.

Rose another side character that captured my attention , why you say ? Well let me tell you because she so reminded me of my best friend-not trying to marry me off but because she is so brutally honest.

I did feel bad for Bree, can you imagine having everyone around you trying to make you marry someone you really didn't want too but then again I had to remind myself this was the 1300's.

The book overall was a enjoyable fast read, I read this in one sitting and craved more when it ended. I have to say as well I was really surprised towards the end. I don't want to say much more I don't want to give anything away.

Would I recommend ? Yes if you love Ireland dashed with romance , hot steamy scenes and a bit of mystery this book is for you and let me say be prepared for the twists and turns this book has to offer.

I loved reading Irish Moon by Amber Scott, this book is historical fiction, with a touch of the supernatural mixed in. Amber Scott manages to weave together a fabulous historical story with druid magic, a pooka, romance, and even Templar Knights. Breanne is a young woman trying to hold off marriage in order to pursue her studies of the "old ways," druid magic. However, when her mentor is murdered her studies are put on hold, indefinitely, and her step-father is putting the pressure on her to find a husband. When Breanne discovers a wounded stranger, she is even more caught up in the mystery of her mentor's death. Aslon, the wounded stranger, is a templar knight seeking to fulfill his mission, and he has to accept help from Breanne and fight his attraction to her.

Irish Moon is an excellent historical romance novel for many reasons. Part of why I love this book is that it's Irish. There are plenty of amazing Highlander/Scottish historical romances around, and I love those books, but Irish Moon is a very nice change. I love the druid magic in this book, it is different and enjoyable to read about. The enchanted cat in this book is also an interesting plot point for the cat is an actual character in the story. This book is historical fiction, but it does not lack in the creativity department.

The romance in Irish Moon is sweet and sensual. The attraction between Breanne and Ashlon builds nicely, and their chemistry is stimulating. There are some extra romances with side characters, and other potential suitors for Breanne to consider while searching for a husband. The entire story unfolds beautifully, I was never confused about timing or plot twists. The plot twists are also very well done, I was not expecting the twists and turns, which makes for exciting reading.

Overall, Irish Moon is an excellent Historical Romance novel and I highly recommend reading this book. This is the second book I have read by author Amber Scott, and I have really enjoyed both books. If you don't enjoy historical novels, then I recommend reading Fierce Dawn by Amber Scott, it is an excellent Paranormal Romance novel

My Opinion:
I enjoy this book tremendously. I was taken back in time to a magical place where there are faeries and other magical creatures. I enjoyed reading this and spent a few days just absorbed in it. Amber doesn’t disappoint in this epic love tale. Breanne is an appertince learning the ways of magic in Ireland around the 1300′s. Only her mentor is murdered and it’s up to Breanne to help Ashlon, the man that was hidden in her mentors house. She has a strong pull to this stranger and has to help him find the bloodstone. Along the way we are introduced to a talking cat – Finn, her best friend – Rose and so many other colorful characters. All in all, I think you will like this book. Between the passion between Breanne and Ashlon, the danger, the mystery of the plot and the characters you will be taken you back in time and you will be glad you did. I enjoyed all of the characters and the story and there is going to be more in this series. I, for one, can’t wait for the next one.
I give Irish Moon by Amber Scott 4.5 of 5 stars!

Three stars because I wanted to like this book. The characters, location, time period and (action) plot were all intriguing. But, I think I'm finally getting tired of the ol' romance trope: "Does she/he or doesn't she/he love me?" The whole passionate kiss, groping each other up, then rushing off to separate corners to introspect and misunderstand and wonder "Oh what is going on between us?" like a couple of junior high students. Blah. The Templar knight was supposedly a man of the world, spent lots of time with women, had adventures across Europe, yet mopes about wondering oh what is this strange feeling I have toward the heroine? Really? Dude? You don't know love/lust/passion by now? If it was a paperback and not on my phone, there were a few times I wanted to chuck it at the wall in frustration.

I have had more fun plucking my eyebrows and it's less painful than reading a book that is too long. I had to force myself to keep reading. I basically kept reading because I truly believed there was going to be some point to it all. Considering the entirity of the thing, it could have been a short story or novella easily. As a novella, I would have given it 3 maybe 4. It was never gonna be 5 because there was not enough brogue and the two main characters did not interact enough. I would read Amber Scott again because she has a sweet touch as romance goes. I just didn't feel there was enough meat for a full length book. On the plus, the characters were interesting and the sex was hot.

Irish witch in training being forced to marry. Every witch needs a talking cat who is cursed and is waiting on a powerful witch to release him. Breanne's teacher dies a mysterious death and she cannot finish her training. Ashlon, an English knight in a foreign land sick and without his full memory. As she nurses said knight back to health they cannot help themselves and share a romantic kiss. Did I mention he was sick...with a fever...and he had not bathed or brushed his teeth in days? That is all I could think of during the kiss...it turned my stomach. There were some very good aspects to the book. It was a light read and had some interesting characters. The main heroine was my kryptonite though. She was very immature and flighty. I wanted to smack her most of the time.

I started reading Irish Moon last night, and I couldn't put it down. I finished the book today, unable to focus on anything else. This is the first book of Amber Scott's that I've read, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I was so absorbed in the world Amber created that I didn't want it to end. Romance, mystery and a knight - loved it!

The idea of the story is good. I liked the characters, the setting, and the idea. The execution of the book failed on many levels. It just did not seem well thought out, or written well. I'm sure some of the blame can go to editing and publishing ... like I said there was failure on many levels. A great effort by all, I'm sure, and I appreciate the story idea.

Breanne O’Donnell is training in the druidic arts when her mentor Heremon is murdered. A mysterious knight named Ashlon Sinclair is left behind, ill and unable to recall what happened. Breanne nurses him back to health, but he is English and she is Irish, so she keeps his identity hidden. But Sinclair, a Templar Knight, is in pursuit of a chest that has been stolen from him and he ingratiates himself into Breanne’s clan to locate it. He’s also drawn to Breanne but his nomadic life leaves him conflicted about what he can offer her. She has seen with her second sight the fate that intertwines them and worries for his safety, believing that he must leave her to stay alive. This is an enchanting story filled with magic and Irish lore. Breanne is a strong heroine and Ashlon a compelling and romantic figure, and you won’t be able to stop reading this steamy love story until the satisfying conclusion.

Finding Love after Loss

After you lose someone you care about, finding love is the last thing on your mind, but she takes it in stride as she finds a man she is willing to marry, then she almost sacrifices herself to save a little boy whom she also cares about and then she rids a evil cat of his curse. She is pretty amazing. Finding Love after Loss, is one way to cheer you up, but finding your soul mate is another thing. And she's has definitely found hers.

If I had of seen the front cover of this book before I read it, I might have been less shocked on the content. As it were, I read it on my Kindle, and being that the picture was really tiny and in black and white, I didn’t notice the half-naked man on the cover.
It features Brianne O’Donnell, a young woman learning Druid magick from an eccentric old man called Heremon as well as her familiar, a talking black cat. Learning the ways of old in the heart of Ireland is exciting at the best of times, but when a handsome stranger washes up on shore the same night her mentor is murdered, Brianne’s whole world starts to spin. She doesn’t know who to trust, or where to turn for she can barely trust herself. Brianne and the stranger join together to try and solve the mystery of Heremon’s death and in the process get tangled in a snare all their own. Lust, love and adventure spiral together until Brianne isn’t sure which way is up, which is down and which is truth.
This happens to be the first book I read on my Kindle. It’s the very first one I downloaded and I chose it for two key reasons: it was cheap, and it was about Ireland. I’m Irish, my husband’s Irish; it seemed like a good choice. I was completely unprepared for the raunchy intimate scenes. The passages weren’t long, a few pages at most but when you aren’t expecting it, it kinds of hits you. They were tasteful; they sat a very fine line between suggestive and seductive. I’m not normally one for raunchy books, but Amber Scott writes beautifully and these sections were spread out, giving you nice breathers in between. Not a bad read for my first soft erotica.
On the other hand, although the writing itself was good, the characters and plot line were a little flat. Brianne changes her mind too often giving her character an adolescent feel which, after reading the aforementioned snippets, I wasn’t overly fond of. The stranger, Ashlon, though I did quite like him, lacks a little depth. The mystery surrounding him didn’t strike me as essential, I understand it was but for some reason it didn’t grab me. The things that did grab my attention were ultimately left unanswered. The cat for instance, and the young boy she treats as her brother. I was just left feeling a little confused and unsatisfied, even though I had enjoyed the journey. I suppose the whole book reads like a wooing; the attraction, the flirtation, the seduction, the lust, the love and ultimately, the lack of climax.

May thy light be fair to me! May thy course be smooth to me! - New Moon , an Ancient Celtic Poem

Lady Breanne O'Donnell is learning the ways of the Druid but her mentor Heremon is murdered before she could even complete her training. that fateful night, she finds a stranger - feverish and may be dying. she then takes care of him and hides him from prying eyes.
Ashton Sinclair, a Knight Templar, is on a clandestine mission. he is also fleeing from the Church's persecution. his path and that of Breanne's will cross so many times but they must learn to trust each other if they wish to succeed against an unknown enemy in their midst.
this is Amber Scott's third story that i have read. the first was Play Fling and the second one was Just Desserts. i must say that i am impressed with her writing. Play Fling and Just Desserts were contemporary romances with a dash of magic. Irish Moon is a historical romance with more than a dash of magick (no typo here!) as well. the former two and the latter are worlds apart in setting and plot but what binds them together is the author's brilliant use of the English language and her rich imagination.
it took me a couple of chapters to get accustomed to Bree's world due to a sprinkling of "old" English words and the way sentences were structured. this did not deter me, however, from reading further. it rather amused and impressed me so much that i could not stop until i was done with the book.
there were surprises here and there that caught me unaware. i was proven wrong with my suppositions a number of times much to my delight. only a brilliant writer could get away with that!
the main protagonists and other players are so well-developed that i could picture each one in my mind as i read along.
i highly recommend this book to fans of historical fiction and romance and i hope you would take great pleasure in reading it as i did.

My Review:
IRISH MOON has mystery and romance, in a historical setting that I don't spend nearly enough time reading. Breanne, Ashlon, and the rest of Amber Scott's cast of characters, exist in 1300's Ireland. Breanne has had magic training, and when her mentor is found dead, she must figure out who killed him, and why.

I think it is safe to say that this is a paranormal romance, but a lite version. More like magical realism, in that there are paranormal elements, but in a largely historical setting, where the magic is peppered into the story and becomes part of the plot, not the central vision. I like that IRISH MOON has much to do with the mystery and the developing relationship of the main characters, Breanne and Ashlon. It's safe to say that I really enjoyed following their relationship.

Though, Breanne is unsure at first, about Ashlon's part in her mentor Heremon's death, she can't help the attraction that she feels on first sight of him...and neither can Ashlon. But, what makes their story so likeable is that Scott doesn't try to sell it as a love at first sight. Yes, they feel an attraction, but as with the magical aspect, it doesn't become the only facet of the plot.

I just had a good time reading IRISH MOON. I was able to immerse myself into the world that Scott created. I don't spend that much time reading about 14th century Ireland, but the dialog, the description of the setting, and the way the interpersonal relationships were conducted, all ring true. The result is a delightful highland tale that will catch the attention of readers who enjoy the mix of Irish history, mystery, magic, romance and suspense.

4.5/5 for plot
4/5 for characters
4/5 for language

My Rating: 12.5/15 (3.5 stars) Highly Recommended

I fell in love with Amber Scott's writing when I read Play Fling. I was eager to read Irish Moon, and it didn't disappoint me. Amber writes historical romance just as well as she does contemporary romance.

Irish Moon had a wonderful mixture of romance and magic and mystery. The characters all had good chemistry, whether they were friends, family or lovers. I particularly loved Rose. She was lusty and gossipy and fun. Just the sort of friend that every girl needs or wants.

The story revolves around the death or Breanne's Druid teacher, Hermone. When she discovers his body, she also discovers an injured knight, Ashlon. She nurses Ashlon in secret. It doesn't take long for sparks to fly. These two have a link, one that she's trying to hide, because her soon to be stepfather is getting ready to see her wed, much to her chagrin. Together they set out to find a missing chest, and in the process they succomb to their desires.

Amber gives her readers some spicy sex scenes, but she doesn't go overboard, which is good. It gives the story balance and the lovemaking doesn't overtake the plot.

The highlight of the story is the cat, Finn, who Breanne is trying to release from a curse. He's sarcastic and funny...and really one of the best written characters in the book. He is also more than what he seems, a lot more than what he seems. In fact, the last few chapters were really a surprise to me, so I give kudos to Amber for the unexpected plot twist. I really didn't see it coming.

Amber really has a good grasp of the old Irish culture. Reading Irish Moon felt like a trip back in time. If you haven't read any of Amber's books, start with this one! It is a great read!

Since this was free read for my kindle, I wasn't sure what to expect. The title and description were enough to spark my interest. But, would it hold my attention. It must have captured my attention enough that I read it soon after downloading it. And with as many other books I have to read, this is a rare accomplishment all by itself.

I really enjoyed the setting. There's something mystic and regal about Ireland. I think Scott managed to capture that. I liked that Breanne is so fiery. She's lives in a time were women were still considered propriety, but she's been given a lot of freedom considering. Not only has she not been pushed to marry (until now) but she's allowed to practice the old Druid ways. I do think these freedoms have allowed her a certain arrogance.

I did have a little difficulty placing Ashlon's role in this entire mess at first. I feel we get to know his character as the story goes along. But, as the story is pieced together, I really liked what was presented to me. He's dedicated to his task, even if he doesn't understand fully what he has been asked to do. I also like that he didn't expect to find companionship and a sense of belonging on his journey.

While I enjoyed the magic involved in the story (I have a hard time labeling this as paranormal because it just didn't feel like that), I enjoyed the romance even more. I liked the stolen kisses while no one is looking. I liked how it made Breanne change her mind on everything she ever thought she wanted. I especially liked how it made Ashlon decide to settle down.

I really enjoyed this book. A worthy free read that will make me look for other books by this author!

As the book starts out we meet Breanne. The setting is Ireland, and she's learning to be an ovate. You get to meet several people on the way, and come to find out she's coming up to the age of needing to be wed. Something Breanne doesn't mind, but doesn't want from her soon to be step-father. Then we meet Sir Ashlon Sinclair a knight of a disabled group. There attraction the two have to each other is magical in every sense. And Breanne isn't exactly the smartest girl to see whats right in front of her. Some of it she doesn't want to see, and refuses, others she over looks. Which happens to all of us to some degree. Half way through the book we now get to deal with the finding of this chest, and the problem that it holds. From then the story picks up and we get to see who the 'evil' has been all this time. Amber Scott puts a huge twist in this book all the way till the end. The hero and heroine don't want to believe their for each other, but there's no other that kindle the fire for themselves. The ending (%50) part of the book took off for me and ended so quickly it felt. That was only because I devoured the last bit of the book. I'm not big into romance (plain romance) novels. So for me to stick with this one and finish it felt like a big feat for me. I'm giving it 4 stars, because the story flows together nicely, and keeps you entered. The first half, was slow for me, but the ending half went quick. Amber does an awesome job keeping the story flow smoothly and keeping the characters real enough that you want to smack their heads together so they kiss.

I was excited to read this book on account of feeding my human plight for the fun of it. However, there was so much "fluff" in the book that I kept getting bored or wondering what real turn of events was going to happen. At 70% of the book....nothing of real significance had happened yet. While some parts were over done, I didn't get involved into the characters emotionally hardly at all. The characters failed to hold dynamic.

Also, the writing...dear God, the writing....contains many errors and I found many sentences did not make sense. I don't know if it was the translation from text to kindle, but even some of the character's names were misspelled at least twice (Rhiannon - Rhainnon, Maguire - Maquire).

As for the love scenes...I wish I had known that there would be random graphic love scenes before I bought this book. When I got a sample on my kindle there was no indication that this was any more of an innocent "strong willed" girl trying to master her art. But how strong willed can you be when you've never been involved with a man and out of the blue you're like "take my clothes off!" Afterwards, she does not even give it a second thought when it goes against EVERYTHING she's been brought up with. It was disappointing and just didn't fit the context of her social class and upbringing.

Also, WAS there an editor here? I truly cannot tell...

I will, however, give kudos to Miss Scott for having the courage to write in the first place. I only hope that her skill proves to develop.

Irish Moon by Amber Scott is a wonderful historical paranormal novel set in Ireland in the 1300’s. We are introduced to Breanne, a fiery, headstrong princess who wants to live her life on her own terms. In spite of her family’s apprehension, she is learning how use her druid powers. After being tasked with caring for a wounded English knight the same night her mentor is mysteriously killed, the intrigue and passion bubbles to the surface and you cannot put the book down until you know what happens next.

The characters in the book really jump off the page. Breanne is strong, smart and feisty. She’s not willing to settle and the interactions between she and Ashlon (the knight) are wonderful. The romance between them is hot but it’s not overly done. The chemistry between the two is incredible and you couldn’t help but want them to be together. I loved how noble he was and it didn’t hurt that he was hot!! The biggest surprise and delight was the cursed cat. He was funny but still provided wisdom and insight. He is a great addition the cast of characters.

The setting of the tale really made to entire story stand out. The magic, the folklore and the romance all worked to keep the pages turning and I was engaged from the first page. If you are a fan of historical, paranormal or just romance, this would be the story for you.

I barely made it through this book. I really hoped to enjoy it. I found it laborious and ridiculous. I'm usually better at expressing myself. Let me see if (by explaining it) I can nail down the root cause of my dislike.

Breanne is a student of magic (Druid?). Her mentor is killed after he portends that a man (Ashlon) will arrive whom will require her assistance and protection. Sure enough, Ashlon arrives and much time is wasted on a less than entertaining adventure in world building and backstory.

The story was slow to build up and rather dry in its construction. The romance that kindled initially was promising, but it quickly fizzled. The love scenes (I'm not just taking about sex here, folks) were almost a passing glance rather than the crux of the story.

The most annoying part of the story, to me, is what happens after the first time they make love, which is also when Breanne loses her virginity. I would tell you, but it may spoil it, so you'll have to find out yourself. Ugh... I nearly threw my Kindle against the wall.

If I weren't neck deep in a Reading Challenge, I'd have stopped about 55% of the way through the book...I certainly would have quit 75% of the way through.

This book will appeal to some. I was not part of that group. I was simultaneously bored, irritated and left wanting.

Overall, I give this book a good rating. What holds me back from giving it a better rating is the fact that the steamy sex was more a part of the story than the Druid magic that enticed me to purchase this book in the first place. As you can read from the description above, the Druid magic was “sold” as the central part of the story, but I suppose the cover image should have given me a clue as well. Still,.... Ireland, Druid magick, a young girl training to become a Druid priestest, a Knight Templar on a secret quest, an enchanted talking cat… it was a fun story and worth the time!

Excerpt:
Continuing after the trail of winding footprints and sunken moss spots that mapped Heremon’s path, Breanne’s fingers traced the carved pattern on the dagger’s handle. The side she felt held a pointy-tailed, horny dragon. A lion adorned the other side, but she needed the dragon, which represented the Otherworld, magick, to her. Mayhap its ever-elusive magick, a protection better than any man, would aid her.

This is the first book I've read by the awesome Ms. Scott, but I will definitely be reading more of her work! This book had everything I like in a fantasy romance - Irish lads, magic, druids, a familiar, the Templar Knights, and lots of romance! Breanne was a little spitfire, and Ashlon was what every Templar Knight should be - strong and very handsome! He's on a quest to find an object that must not fall into the wrong hands, and she's been assigned to help him find it, so they must work together. In her personal life, she has reached an age where she is expected to give up her magic lessons and find a husband. Her best friend growing up wants her hand, but after she meets Ashlon he's all she can think about. So her intended asks Ashlon to basically teach him how to woo her! Fun abounds at this point, but there is also a really good mystery here, too.

I'm very glad that I read this book and can't wait to read more! Keep an eye on Amber Scott because I think she's going to be a force to contend with in the romance genre :D

Sometimes a girl needs a quicky, and what better way to satiate those libidinous hunger pangs than with this fast paced, romantic novel based in Ireland filled with the love of an Irish Druidess and an English knight. Um, yes please.

This was absolutely a pleasant read, although I do believe that it may be my first erotica book. I am quite prone to getting to know the characters and in a few books, they take their more carnal thoughts to the next level, so I was shocked with concupiscence when almost half way, she is shoved on the wall while being ravaged by a man she hardly knows. Had to swipe the sheen of sweat from my brow, whoa.

Although, I may steer clear of books like these unless I am in desperate need, Ill admit that the writing was absolutely riveting and is what kept me hooked. The story was sweet, with obvious outcomes, but it was still a great plot, reading the entire book in one day is evidence of that.

This book came to me highly recommended and I now know why. The characters in this book, as well as the setting, is so well drawn that I felt I was in Ireland, watching this story unfold with my own eyes. Amber Scott's craft of writing and drawing the reader in was amazing and once I invested a little time into this story, I could not put it down. I spent my whole day reading this intriguing story and was not disappointed when it concluded. I was, if anything, sad that the story was over. Breanne and Ashlon are among some of the finest characters I've had the pleasure to read about. I am glad this book was recommend to me, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading Amber Scott's other books, soon. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys learning about foreign lands, well rounded characters, magick, and ultimately, undeniable love.

Can't go wrong with an Amber Scott book. I liked this book. I liked the chemistry between Ashlon and Breanne. The mystery of who killed Hermone(I think that was his name) had me wondering till the end. It was a total surprise of who did it. I suspected everyone except for who really did it. Finn the cat was funny. I loved Danny the kid who's like a brother to Breanne. The friendship between Rose and Breanne was well written and felt real.

The only thing I didn't like was that it felt a bit too long, a bit too drawn out. I felt it was too descriptive at times. I would have like for there to have seen more mother daughter interaction to see what Breanne's mother was really like. I would like to have gotten to know Nyall because till the end I thought he might turn out to be the bad guy. I still feel like he's hidding something. I recommend this book.
