It just dragged on.
While eventually you find out what happens, sometimes in the book it gave information that really had nothing to do with the case. Any book i read(no matter how long it drags ) i make sure to finish it. I would caution the writer to keep just to the facts in any book. This was a tragedy of the worst kind. It took me extra long to read this because it didn't keep my attention too much.

Disturbing look at how a department can hire a psycho like Frank
I lived in New Orleans in 1995, remember this case very well, but this book fills in the details I missed. Again, it’s more disturbing the more you know. Other than the fact these two murdered these three, the thing that infuriates me is they are still on death row after a quarter century.

Police on police murder.
Well written and researched. The psychological testing of the murders was explained in great detail which put the trial of Frank and LaCaze in perspective.

A horrifying story to recount, but the author does a fantastic job.

This book provided much more information on the case than I learned from medi coverage. A tragic chapter for the police in New Orleans. Thankfully the criminals were convicted. If this specific case interests you I encourage you to read this book.

Antoinette Frank has always dreamed of being a Police Officer, even when she was younger she would volunteer for the New Orleans Police Explorers, a program for youngsters interested in law enforcement. So when got older, she applied to NOPD, but when failed her Psych exam, she was given a second chance b/c according to sources, at that time, there was a loophole in which an applicant could go get a 2nd opinion at their own expense. Antoinette Frank did just that. It is not clear if she passed the second exam or tampered w/h the results. However she was permitted to enter the academy and become a police officer. She helped to take the life a 2 young ppl and fellow officer one Spring night.

Great Story Poorly Told
I am an avid fan and reader of true crime, but Mr. Hustlers will not be on my list of true crime authors. First, this was one of the most dreadfully edited Kindle editions I have read. Paragraphs were off, at times the text changed from black to blue, words were dropped or added; it was so bad it read like an unedited first draft. Secondly, I knew as much, or as little, about Antoinette Frank upon completion as I did at the beginning. The style....well, there is no style. What should be intriguing is just plain dull and lackluster. Would not recommend.

During parts of this book, my mouth was agape in the sheer disbelief. The fact that she got on the force, much less that she got away with the crimes that she did makes me wonder about who we're allowing to protect and serve. Other parts of the book made me laugh at the utter ineptitude of these criminals.

Couldn't put it down. I suffer from insomnia due to my illness but I read this book in nearly two nights. It was very well researched and I found myself lost in the story. It was so good I loaned it my hubby and he didn't want to give it back. Good source of information if you're looking for more detailed information on this unspeakable crime.

I read this book in 2 days....could not put it down! I am an avid reader of true crime and this is one of the most well written books I've read to date....the author really sucks you into the story. My heart goes out to the families/friends of the 3 people that were murdered! I highly recommend this book to all true crime lovers.

The fact that a large city could let this fall into place says a lot about how messed up a government can be. The book itself is only ok. There were to many part that went into to many little details and other parts that didn't go into enough. If this had not been a true story I probably went have finished it, but the fact that it was made me want to get into this killers mind.

Well being from New Orleans, I remember the case, but with Rogers LaCraze recently getting a new trial, I became interested in the story again. It's been 20 years since three people including a police officer were murdered. The story is so unbelievable and so tragic. Thanks Theron for the book....
