wait.... #hacked? a book is a book is a book is a book
lot of superfluous stuff in here that took away from the main ideas, but chem is my fav so i powered through when i originally read this. favorite chapters were gas phases and solutions. not gonna review the other books.
I stand on the fact that Orgo>>Gen Chem. Gen Chem is going to bring me down I fear. So many equations, rules, and laws and it was just so long ago. I did enjoy taking a look at Gen Chem now knowing physics and applying that!
Fine, I like the practice questions but even those could've been done better. Gn. And yes gabe I'm adding this to my yearly reading goal shabbat shalom chag sameach happy holidays
As far as textbooks go, relatively engaging. At times the authors tried to use humor and side stories to a distracting level, though. Certainly a good review of topics (stress "review"). Highly recommend for anyone looking to review before MCAT. Unsure of changes made to the text for the new MCAT layout, though.
Pretty solid review. Again, I wish the additional High Yield questions had an answer key. And why isn't there a periodic table at the front of the book?? Silly, silly. In general, though, the book is v. readable and even funny at times. Imagine that.
One of the longest book in Kaplan's MCAT series. Helpful and detailed descriptions, but a little redundant and in some places- too in depth for what is required for the MCAT. Recommend for students taking general chemistry or preparing for the MCAT.
