The Door of the Thousand Keys

Rate this book
When we feel that all hope is lost, we see our shadow self and have a choice to surrender to our innermost demons or to fight. Alyson meets her own shadow and wrestles for possession of her soul. Will she lose someone special in the process?... Herself? Alyson continues from where we left off in our last adventure, ready to face many new tasks and trials set before her by the Elders. Will she finally uncover her true self? Like diamonds shimmering within, the eyes are said to reveal a person's truest nature. Windows to the soul. Other times they open a portal to a darker world, those with hollow eyes and very little soul - as they are seeking yours to steal to replace the lack of their own. It began with Hremm Nevar. There is only one soul other than Alyson's that can battle these thieves, and that other must combine with Alyson - her twin flame. But first, she must find him. Only her heart can lead the way. She must open another door, ...The Door of The Thousand Keys.

An enriching, enthralling and powerfully impacting novel that speaks to the soul

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within”

Through a stream of consciousness flows illuminating inspirational thought, empowerment and ultimate satisfaction for a fulfilling experience. When we feel all hope is lost, we see our shadow self and have a choice to surrender to our innermost demons or to fight…Alyson is a heroine. She is a gutsy, strong main protagonist like a shining beacon to light the path ahead for all teenagers in strife. Thought-provoking, reflective meaningful narrative intertwines around an intense storyline that tugs at the heartstrings & opens the mind to all kinds of new possibilities. Never before have I felt so inwardly shaken by a story that’s unlike any YA Paranormal romance I have encountered before. Facing fear appears less daunting having now read a most impacting novel of substance and depth; a 4th instalment within an eclectic series of profundity.

Like diamonds shimmering within,
the eyes are said to reveal a person’s true nature…”
{or in other words, the eyes are like a window to see into a person’s soul}.

This book opens a doorway into a universe of infinite possibilities, that’s designed to enrich readers though religious reflections and philosophical contemplation wherein dreams hold the KEY to unlocking your true self. I found this story spiritually uplifting as well as richly evocative and full of words of wisdom and warmth. The seven sisters (or) seven charkas was fascinating, and I cannot wait for book 5: the crystal goddess & the wish keeper {5th and final instalment in the adventures of Alyson Bell series}! Kristin Groulx is a dark horse of the literary world and certainly is an author to watch. Whether by design intent, fate or providence I feel that I was MEANT to read this book, as it took me on a journey that I will cherish forever. The best way I can describe is how reading this book was like looking at a reflection in a mirror

*I am so pleased to have won {through a first-read giveaway on Goodreads} a copy of ‘The Door of the thousand keys’*

This book took me in directions I never imagined. It is good to read the series in order to follow the characters. I am looking forward to the next book on 11/11/11!
