Evelyn "Evi" Keil may be from an uneventful town, but in no way is her life predictable. For as long as she can remember, she has seen things others cannot even imagine. Convinced that the horrifying visions are merely hallucinations, she rejects the reality of which all she has witnessed.
Evi moves forward in denial, until one summer afternoon while visiting the traveling carnival with her friends, when a fortune-teller reveals the Evi is not human, and she holds a strong gift which has not been seen for three hundred years.
