Kurt Marti was a Swiss theologian and poet. His poetry often has theological and religious aspects to it. He is also known for dialect literature said to have intellectual quality.
This is a collection containing (all) three story volumes pubished by Kurt Marti.
The first one, "Village Stories" are a delight to read, sublime; made me wonder. In the eighties, in the "City", the stories become substantially weaker, I think, but are still rather interesting, sharp. More satire, forays into psychology clog, characters flag, become vehicles. In the nineties the ("Night") stories are a scattering of stylistic experiments, loosened narrative, carnivalesque, secondary, postmodern romanticism, which I did not enjoy, mostly.
