Første bind, Den ydmyge amulet, vandt Orlaprisen 2010 for bedste fantasyroman.

At the ending of book number one, i was enthralled by the amazing ending of the first book, because it was not only kind of scary (it gave me the creeps some times) but it was so extreamly exciting.

Of couse i was going to read book number two.

When i started it seemed so boring i was about to put it away. But i know you have to give books a chance, so i keept reading but it just didn't got more exciting. You could read the plot on the back of the book (i know you can do that on almost every book), but it seemed like this book was build up on the ground of that plot. I didn't gave me the goosebumbs or creeps, it just bored me.

Maybe my expertations was too high, but if they was, i will certainly not expect anything for the next book.

According to the charecters from the book, i hate the maincharecter, Josephine. She's naive and stubborn, and it seems like she has absolutely no manners at all - she interrupts other people, and gets uptight when things doesn't go the way she wants. I really don't like her very much. In the first book i can assure you, she was much nicer.

The other person, Liam, is dark and seems like te doesn't feel anything at all. He's like a brave little soldier - or at least that's what the author want's him to be. But to me he's only boring. He never EVER say one single word about his feelings. That gets very boring on the long run.

De Unaturlige had all the vibes of a cool supernatural thriller, but the execution? Meh. 😕 The plot felt all over the place, like it couldn’t decide if it wanted to be spooky or dramatic. 👻💔

The characters didn’t grab me—they were more like props than people. And the pacing? Slow enough to make a snail look speedy. 🐌 I kept waiting for something big to happen, but it never really delivered.

It’s not bad-bad, but it’s definitely not a page-turner. If you’re into atmospheric reads and don’t mind a few stumbles, it might work for you.
