NINE FACES OF CHRIST is the narrative of Joseph-bar-Joseph, a Messiah crucified in 57 B.C. This story illustrates the methods and techniques that are required to develop the inner or initiate God-self. It deals with the secret and True Religion behind all religions, and with the preparation and initiation of the candidate into many secret and sacred metaphysical studies. From the mysteries of the Magi to the ancient Egyptian training for the God-King, no one will be excluded from this life-changing journey a journey that welcomes all. Here are disclosed initiate Truths such as those the Greek Philosopher Plato dared not to disclose because he was under sacred oath to keep them concealed. It deals with the inspired and relentless search for the True Religion, the unveiling of spiritual Truth long held so secret that one might even risk life itself to find.
"You are about to begin an emotional experience so be prepared . . . The central character of this book is not 'Jesus Christ' as we perceive him, but rather the Eternal Initiate, the Great Candidate of all religions. It is hoped the reader will love the Eternal Initiate with complete understanding, knowing why." EUGENE E.WHITWORTH
This is a spiritual adventure story. It is a fictional biography representing the back story of the one we call Jesus (even though his mom called him Ye'shua). It contains allusions to His training as an Essene Master, a Master Druid, a Master Yogi, a Master of Persia, and an Egyptian Master, that proceeded His great mission.
This was a very interesting read that I read after reading Anna, the Grandmother of Jesus. It had similar storyline and messages. This book offered similar and new perspectives to what Christ went through during his initiations. The book started off slow for me, but I kept reading. About a quarter in, it really took off! Once I was a quarter in, I couldn’t put the book down. It is really inspiring, informative, and enlightening. I highly recommend if you want a new perspective into the initiations of the Christ.
This a very unique story about Jesus of Nazareth. The weaving of all of the mystical portions of the Great Religions to work hand in hand to develop the Great Truth was really amazing. This intriguing perspective and all of the associated history left me totally inspired and completely in awe. Should be required reading for everyone surviving our current, chaotic world. I believe I will read this a few times over my lifetime.
I liked the whole process of Christ preparation to fulfill his duties as God and as man in order to give us his message of love and self commitment for good.
This is a treasured gift from Eugene Whitworth. I was so impressed with it that I bought copies for loved ones and found a way to contact Dr Whitworth. My life is still favorably impacted as a function of reading this book more than 20 years ago.
Very rich 16th and 19th-century vocabulary for those readers wanting to expand theirs! It helps us understand our own connection to our spiritual self. An illustration of the power of consciousness and creation. My favourite chapter so far is Chapter 7: "About my father's business." In particular, the sensational debut of questions he throws at his father regarding his divinity...If I (the reader) was divine why...?
