Burrhus F. Skinner: Shaper of Behaviour by Frederick Toates is part of the Mindshapers series of Books published by Palgrave. This is a beneficial and thought-provoking book to have at your disposal while studying the classical Skinners Box experiment , operational conditioning in rats and pigeons along with behavioural reinforcement during your degree pathway of choice. Toates evaluates Skinners early life that influenced his initial intersectional approach to conduct research. Uncovering the history of Anthropogenic Climate Change from a Skinnerian perspective arguing how individualistically and by extension collectively Psychology can contribute to changing Human Behaviour to safeguard the environment and the globes future holistically and harmoniously. Nevin suggests that for people to ensure the protection of the environment individuals need to achieve a new holistic version of their self-concept synonymous with the natural world instead of the capitalisation of environmental degradation to advance consumerism that significantly destroys non-human animal species habitats eradicating biodiversity on a global level.
