The latest crime novel from John Penn introduces a new member of the Thames Valley Police Force - Detective Chief Inspector Dick Tansey. Together with his female sergeant, Tansey must solve the mystery of the abduction of three yound women, who appear to have nothing in common but good looks. When abduction turns to murder and the secret lives of the women are discovered, the darker side of human nature is revealed.
I enjoyed reading the large print version of Outrageous exposures, some good detective work , so all in all a good read set in England I see John Penn has other novels published as large print books so I will be seeking them out Anyone who enjoys a crime / mystery will find this a worthwhile read
From inside the book jacket: "Kate Minden is a reliable young secretary in a real estate office near Oxford. Seventeen-year-old Mary Rust leads a strict, sheltered life under the thumb of her puritanical parents. Linda Jackson is a promising Oxford student with a long-term, live-in lover.
The three have nothing in common... except that each is beautiful, with long, lustrous hair; each has a secret life; and each disappears without a trace."
my thoughts: Not exactly a sit-on-the-edge of your seat kind of detective mystery, but an enjoyable read nonetheless.
