[Ménage Amour: Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, shape-shifters]

When Janis dumps her cheating boyfriend, her hopes for love and a family end along with their romance, and her biological clock is sounding louder than Big Ben. Her sister-in-law snagged both of her twin brothers. How did Sable catch two gorgeous men when she can’t hang onto one? But her hopes rise when two drop-dead sexy men walk into her office. Too bad they turn out to be gay.

Lycans Noah and Wade are in Philadelphia on a special mission for their Alpha, who hopes to increase their dwindling numbers. The wolf-shifters never expected to bring a woman into their sexual relationship, especially a human, but one night in bed with Janis changes everything. They believe she may be their mate, but if they go through with their Alpha’s plan, Janis’s family will be destroyed, along with any chance of making her their own.

MMF paranormal romance
The sweetest book in the trilogy. All the previous main characters are presented and a few more characters are introduced. This is the story of two wolf shifters who are in love, but they still are looking for the right girl to complete them - even if this girl is a human who keeps having second thoughts. It also does not help their case the fact that they have to abduct their sweetheart’s sister in law according to their Alpha’s instructions.
They had marked her as theirs, and the Alpha thought they’d made a wise choice. At the time it went right over her head. She’d been so excited at the thought of going home she didn’t hear anything else. What did it mean? Was their mark some kind of brand, like a rancher would put on livestock?
Is that how they saw her? How dare they? Animals keeping humans for pets.

Held captive in the book – that’s an accurate description of what will happen to a reader who picks up any of the Black Wolf Gorge books, especially Captive which is the third book in the series by Gale Stanley. As part of this solid series with a unique premise, Captive is another quality installment. Stanley’s wolf shifters are endangered, having been killed off years ago by humans, and know of only few of their kind that exist. In this book, they discover another pack but the discovery comes at a cost.
The story focuses on Janis, the sister of two human males who mate with a female wolf shifter in a previous book. Janis doesn’t know that her sister-in-law is a wolf shifter so walks into trouble blind. During most of the book, Janis is kept out of the loop and many of the problems occur because of this dishonesty. The author did an excellent job of explaining the need for secrecy so the characters’ integrity is left intact.
When Janis breaks up with her cheating boyfriend, her hopes for a family seem to end and she feels her biological clock ticking louder than ever. Janis seems fragile but the reader can find a beam of inner strength that propels her forward, seemingly on a journey to discover herself. When a gift walks into her office in the form of two incredibly dark and handsome men, she embraces the opportunity. It’s too good to be true when Janis realizes they are gay and their one night stand, a sexy ménage, leaves her lonely when they abandon her… and little does she know that they are wolf shifters.
Noah and Wade are sent to Philadelphia on a mission for their Alpha who has hopes to increase their dwindling numbers and save their pack from extinction. They never planned to bring a woman into their relationship, especially a human, but one night with Janis changes everything. They mark her as their mate but soon realize they must betray her to stay loyal to their Alpha. Though it nearly breaks them and determining that pack must be most important, they leave Janis to pursue their mission only to find that she is tangled up in their mission more than they are able to stop. Reuniting with her is not on the best of circumstances but their reunion in the hot springs is a sensual feast for the reader.
The bond that forms between Janis, Noah and Wade is presented in a way to show devotion rather than merely sexual attraction (though that is there as well). And it is strong enough to hold center stage while the reader gets to revisit Sable and her mates along with Karin and Malcolm, all incredibly strong relationships that speak to the bonds of family whether human, wolf or hybrid. Characters are written with such depth that the reader cannot help but relate to their journey. Great story.

For fans of menage(MMF), this isn't one to miss. Ms Stanley sets forth a interesting tale with unique characters and an original storyline.

I liked the way the menage was handled. Most often, I find with menage that each character doesn't fully get the attention they deserve in regards of development. This wasn't the case here.

For a hot and entertaining paranormal read, pick this one up!

Captive was able to do what many Menage Amours are not; it was able to make a threesome actually work out, not only in the bedroom but in the actual relationship. I was impressed and I will definitely be reading more of this author's work.

This was a delightful read that kept me turning pages. The team of sexy wolf-shifters didn't know what was in store for them when they ran into Janis. A thrilling novel!

A fascinating and really unique read!

The author really hit home with this one. The story is so captivating and intriguing that I found myself simply devouring the pages, one after the other. The characters are well mapped out and they all have their own quirks that made it impossible not to resonate with them. Be aware though, this is not for the faint of heart as the content does have some sexually explicit tendencies. I would definitely feel comfortable recommending this one!

A menage a trois, shape-shifters, erotica, the paranormal - it's all here with enticing writing that makes for a captivating read. Janis finds that her biological clock is ticking and she's desperate for a family. Two good-looking men enter into her life but they're not only gay, there's something else. Mysterious, hot, a must read.

Well-Plotted Erotica

I was given this book in exchange for a fair review, and even though I don’t typically read this genre, I found Captive to be well-plotted in addition to being enticing given its paranormal aspect. A definite must-read for erotica fans.

Oh WoW! My favourite kind of book - a menage-a-trois, drama, emotion and a fun-packed thrill ride from start to finish. This is certainly a paranormal romance with a difference. Plenty of heat, beautifully fleshed characters and a gripping plot made this a wonderful bedtime read!
