Unfiltered: The CEO and the Coach

Rate this book
A pioneering book, The CEO and the Coach, for the first time, opens the doors that normally shield the confidential world of coaching conversations. The book, through its candour, helps readers fully grasp the life-changing impact that coaching can have. Conceived as a leadership development book, the authors share the narratives (both individual and mutual) of their partnership over the course of five years. The resultant narrative provides not just unique insights that executives and entrepreneurs will find useful for their own development but also deep insights into how, by understanding ourselves, we move towards mastery over the world at large.

This book emerges as a commendable repository of erudition, particularly tailored for individuals of professional standing. Within its pages, one shall discover a lucid exposition of leadership coaching strategies, elucidated through authentic instances.

The revelations contained herein are of noteworthy import, casting a glaring light upon the challenges inherent in the management of arduous dialogues. It is noteworthy that the art of navigating difficult conversations persists as the proverbial Achilles' heel for a majority of leaders, whether grappling with individuals of amiable disposition or those less favourably inclined. This treatise, therefore, unveils the vulnerable facets of leadership and proffers sagacious counsel, thereby furnishing a prudent roadmap for the gradual surmounting of these impediments.

I proffer this literary offering as an imperative addition to one's intellectual arsenal—a requisite perusal for those who aspire to ascend the echelons of leadership.

Learn how executive coaching can make a difference

I read this book while I was undergoing executive coaching myself. And by reading this book I could relate it with my own journey. Not just that but I could get more value out of my own coaching after having read this book that tells how Saurabh was able to change himself. Additionally the best learning from the book is as Ana talks about "developing third voice in your mind" that acts as a coach for self.

A good book to share the conversation between a CEO and a Coach

I was looking for more indepth discussion on what all learnings Saurabh had while multiple conversations with the coach and how they have been impactful in his journey. Some of it was covered, but not in great details

I think the book is also positioned towards lot of young coaches who may want to learn

I found flow of the book to be a little disarrayed. But overall good initiative such closed door discussions to the forefront

This book is amazing for those who want to become a coach and can learn from Ana, also it's amazing for people who want to work with a coach effectively.
I have learnt so many things from the book
1. how Saurabh approached coaching
2. how ana asked questions to uncover things for saurabh.
3. how Ana is open to sharing her opinion too along with conventional coaching..

loved it.

Except one chapter which was a conversation, each chapter had separate reflections. Saurabh's sections seemed authentic. However Ana's parts were quite prescriptive and mechanical. Interesting topic - could have been handled better.
