This short-story collection contained:
SECRET KISSES by Ann Major;
Location: Red Rock, Texas; home of the Texas Fortune Family
main characters: Matt Harper and Jane Snow; Jerry Keith H.(Matt's younger brother);two principals vying for promotion to the same job

Ann Major was the only one whose books I'd read before, and since the first story was by her, I began it first. Now, granted, I'm not having a great time these days, what with bedbugs in my apartment and other unsavory things to handle, but I had a hard time getting into the story and being constantly interrupted didn't help. I thought that I was rereading the same parts--or did the author keep repeating Jane's unkind thoughts? Anyway, the story finally finished with a happy ending.

The second story was Christine Rimmer's HIDDEN HEARTS. Since it was fairly short, I leaped into it. Again, the main protagonists were at odds--though, of course, the whole theme WAS about 'secret' admirers.

I have not read the third story at all. I can't say I was totally enamored of either of the first two, but then I guess I'm not in the best mood right now. So don't take my example as gospel truth. Everybody else may love them. Maybe it was just the wrong time for me to read them. After all these were spring not autumn stories. DREAM MARRIAGE may truly be a dream story.
