One of the one's recommended on the subject. I think it had a good wealth of information, not entirely organized. The book needs some editing- as even on the first pages of the intro there are misspellings. Worth the read to introduce yourself to the subject.

Jim provides a clarity and wise insight into all of his books that is unmatched. This is one of my favorites, and is getting worn as well.

Great book and not surprising to discover the connection for all is ONE. Being a Reiki Master, which I believe, comparatively speaking, is a much "newer" tradition or practise than Shamanism...wasn't surprised to learn that in all likelihood Reiki stems from Shamanism.

All Energy is One and universal. Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and the plethora of other universal healing energy modalities...same things, different names.

I love the connection that is so easily recognized in this book by Jim Pathfinder. I highly recommend it to anyone, whether you are "into" Reiki or whatever.

There's a lot of good information in here about shamanic journeying for the beginner. What he says about Reiki being shamanic makes sense. However, there is not a lot of information about actually integrating the two practices. You're just supposed to "know," I guess. There are times where he seems to go off-track and it doesn't always connect back to the original purpose of the book. Or, rather, why I purchased the book. It just didn't live up to my expectations or meet my needs.

I took my time reading this book because I wanted to assimilate as much of the information as I could as well as discern between what is helpful to my practice. Jim, I look forward to reading more of your books...thanks! Xx

This is a useful book for those exploring reiki and shamanism. It helped me make sense of my feelings on the subject, and to realise my place in the world. There are some helpful new symbols, insights and tips, along with a reading guide and suggested exercises for students of the path.

I enjoyed this book. As a student of energy healing/medicine/understanding I was interested to know more about shamanism and how each ‘practice’ might operate together.

I enjoyed reading the author’s shamanic journey excerpts as well as about finding and working with your power animals - it has me quite excited and I’d like to learn journeying and shamanic practice some time.

I like STEM knowledge (Science Technology Engineering Maths) and I thought the author incorporated interesting technical information that was relevant and brings the beauty of metaphysical energy down to earth. For example: he writes of crystals and their ability to amplify minute electrical charges. He goes on to explain that crystals with different numbers of faces have different structural and amplification properties, and therefore are beneficial for different uses. So cool, and there is other technical but understandable information he mentions.

As a student of reiki I was also pleased to learn of symbols that came to him through his energy healing journey that can be (and has been) used by others without need for additional attunements. Not that I mind getting new attunements, but it’s all nee knowledge.

I felt there was some practical, helpful information which just made me feel like shamanism is more accessible whilst not detracting from its ‘magick’!

Would be interested to read more of his similar books.

A great introduction to the intersection of Reiki and Shamanism. Jim Pathfinder Ewing's own contributions to Reiki practice are fascinating, as manifested to him during Dreamtime.
