Have you ever heard of a myth but you think its true, well then your like Josh becuase he found a hat he really liked. inside it. It had a map. The genre of this book is realitic fiction becuase it uses states such as phoenix and texas. I liked this book becuase I like the way Josh wants to save his farm. Josh is detirmined because he really wants to save the farm.

Josh is from Texas. He goes to phoenix to go help his dad with the farm, but then Josh and his aunt go to garge sales to buy things for Josh.At one garge sale jpsh finds a hat he realy likes but it isnt for sale. So josh isnt happy but when they leave the old man gives the hat to Josh Josh finds a map in the hat and takes it out and its a map about a tresure. He takes it home he gives it to his cousins to see it. They find out its a map but its a myth or legend they dont know. The setting is in a trailer ,phoenix, desert, and cave. The copnflict is person v.s.society because he needs money to help his dads ranch. Josh is a very brave. Cody is a jokester. Brian is a fun person to be with.

Man this story surprised me alot. I couldnt believe when the old man gave josh the hat when josh and his aunt were about to leave. I was amazed when josh said he woke up at 5 a.m. i mean now thats cra cra. I was amazed when the map came back that it was real. I couldnt believe the map was enough money to save his dads ranch.I liked the book because i could feel what josh felt when the old man told him the hat wasnt for sale.Ive been there Josh dont worry, but at least you got it.i also liked it because it had humor in it.

Thats why i liked the book. I would rate this book a 8 because its a little confusing, and its not the best book. I would recommend this book to a person who likes mystery books.now you know why i liked the book hope you read it. Tell me if liked it or not leave comments.THANK YOU!

Josh Strickland, a 16-year-old cowboy spends the summer visiting his uncle Paul in Texas and working with his cousins Cody and Brian on their construction site in order to earn money and save his family ranch.

When Josh and his aunt Shelley are heading towards Scottsdale for shopping, they see a strange garage sale where Josh buys a cowboy hat. When he puts his hand inside the hat, he finds a map. Josh hopes that the map would lead to a treasure, which will help him save his ranch. Josh and his cousins go on their most adventurous journey, but will they discover a treasure or something else?

Peschke's story automatically involves me in it. I was with the main character Josh, exploring his adventures. Peschke does a good job creating an exciting setting, realistic adventures and suspense.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure. I also recommend this book to readers who haven't tried adventure yet. This book will be a good introduction to the genre.
