Blue Angel is the first in an erotic romance trilogy inspired by the burlesque clubs of New York and Los Angeles. The novels are about an ordinary woman who discovers herself - and her sexuality - through the world of burlesque. Mallory Dale doesn't like surprises. At least, that was the case. When her boyfriend takes her to a burlesque club for her twenty-fifth birthday, all she wants to do is go home and get under her bedcovers. So when she is pulled up on stage by one of the dancers and stripped down to her bra, in front of a roaring crowd - surprisingly, she loves every second of it.

Over time, Mallory begins to devote herself to the world of burlesque. It awakens new-found sensual pleasures and reveals her true sexual nature. But she risks losing Alec in the process - or can she really have it all?

Now everyone knows I am a huge fan of erotica books. But wow this book took it above and beyond. This is the first book I've ever read about Burlesque Clubs. I have to say I'm an adult and never been inside one and this book have definitely made curious in wanting to pay a visit to one. Only visit, I don't ever see myself performing in one like the main character did in this book.

So in Blue Angel, you have your main character whose name is Mallory and her boyfriend, and he takes her to a burlesque club for her birthday. Now in my opinion, I would think this is more for him than her. But this one visit has change Mallory's whole life without her knowing. Blue Angel's star Bette Noir pulls Mallory from the audience and kind of has her way with her. Basically she had Mallory stripped down to her undies on stage in front of the whole club. But rather than Mallory feeling shy or a bit embarrassed, she loved it. And this opened her appetite up to trying it again. Lucky for her Bette offered to become her private tutor, her mentor. All who else to learn from, than from the best performer of Blue Angel. But what will become of her life if she chooses this path as a career? Will she move on with everything she has, or will she love herself into it?

I really enjoyed this book. It showed basically behind the scene of being a performer in a burlesque club. The thing about this book as I read it, I envisioned everything so vividly in my mind. It was like a movie going on in my head. If you're looking for an intense erotica romance. Then this is definitely the book for you. I recommend this book to those who aren't shy about reading extremely sexual acts.

This book makes me want to see that movie with Cher and Christina called "Burlesque". Maybe get my sexy back. I'm kidding I never lost it. LOL. I give this book a 5 stars, for the real life drama and for the intense sex scenes. If you're into erotica books. Then this book is definitely a "Sinfully Tasty Read" you have get your hands on.

In Short
- Blue Angel is different from any other erotic book I have read.
- I struggled to bond with Mallory but I liked Alec, her boyfriend.
- Belle got the right balance between not enough detail and too much detail.

In Long
Blue Angel sounded very different from any other book I have read and I was excited to explore the world of burlesque. It was an unknown part of the world for me and that’s what I love about books, that they are able to help you experience something you otherwise never would.

Mallory is the main character, along with her boyfriend Alec. I struggled to get a bond with Mallory and this held me back from enjoying the book as much as I would have if I bonded with Mallory. I felt this was a mixture between her character not actually being that interesting and also that she just isn’t my sort of person. I found Alec a more interesting character and I enjoyed seeing how he would react to different things in the book.

When it came to the actual burlesque shows, I loved how Belle got the right balance between enough detail and too much detail. I was able to feel like I was there but didn’t get bored from the amount of detail and for me this is an important part of feeling the experience.

As far as the erotic side of things go, it does get steamy at certain parts but I wouldn't stay its strong erotic. There is some female on female action and this was the first book I had experienced this in. It wasn't a part of the book I neither disliked nor loved. However I felt it stayed within certain boundaries which would have possibly made me put it down.

Final Thoughts
Blue Angel is different from any other erotic book I have read and I liked that Logan exposed me to the burlesque world as I haven't ever heard of it before.

if 50 shades is a bit tame to quench your erotica needs, this is the book for you, book 1 of 3 sees Mallorys transformation into Moxie and the highs and lows she encounters along the way......a must read.

Blue Angel does well with it's central theme: burlesque.

At the same time, it has some serious failings. The first is in terms of characterization: we're told, rather than shown, what the characters are like, and It seemed to me that the "wonderful" Alex was a jerk, the "lovable" Mallory was oblivious to others' feelings, and the "alluring" Bette teetered on the brink of being the stereotypical lesbian from the old pulps: promiscuous, unsentimental, and predatory.

Bette isn't a predator, but she is "other" - an exotic notion of what lesbianism is like, rather than a woman who is a lesbian (and many other things). I think that's because Blue Angel is erotica with lesbian themes for straight women. A bit like "girl on girl" porn for straight men, or the way that gay slash fiction often fails to resonate for gay men, this feels like it was written from a heteronormative perspective for a heteronormative audience.

For the protagonist, lesbian sex doesn't count as cheating, and she never comes around to the realization that sex is sex, even though other characters tell her so. There's also a fixation on penetrative sex as the route to orgasm and, very near the end, Mallory says of a (relatively) butch lesbian character "now if only someone could get her into a dress..."

No! Eww! This one line takes the theme of "finding your real self" and turns it into "women are happy when they're feminine."

IT is all about the art of the reveal with Logan Belle's Blue Angel. Get turned on by this perfect escape accessory that fits in your purse. And then have it be the gossip about over a glass of wine with your closest girlfriends.

Logan Belle provides readers with a backstage pass into a burlesque club through the eyes of its dancers. The story begins with Mallory Dale's surprise adventure into the world of burlesque on her birthday. She gets pulled (literally) on stage by Bette Noir.

If your looking for a spicy read that opens pandora's box of juicy discussions then the Blue Angel is a perfect fit. After reading this book, you will want to talk. That's why it is the perfect book for any book club. And it could be an inspiration to bring sizzle in your bedroom.

Interesting story, well-written and full of vibrant detail about New York City's contemporary burlesque scene. At times it felt as though the real love affair was between the heroine and the scene. Mallory's fling with a beautiful dancer doesn't have as much sizzle as her tumultuous relationship with her boyfriend, Alec. He's a handsome jerk, ultimately redeemable because the chemistry and emotions leap off the page.

Looking forward to more from this author--nicely done.

I enjoyed this story about Mallory Dale (an aspiring lawyer - following in her families footsteps) whose boyfrind Alec, for her 25th birthday takes her to a Burlesque Club - she is reluctant with this idea, but before you know it she is up in stage after being asked up the by Bett Noir, the star of the show and she is thrown into a new world of discovery.

I liked this book, but didn't really understand Mallory. I wanted her to just make up her mind and decide if she wanted her relationship to work or not with Alec.

This book was recommended to me by a friend because I am fascinated by burlesque shows. I've attended the Burlesque Showcases at the Rockabilly convention (Viva Las Vegas). When I realized the book is an erotica, I knew it wasn't really my thing. However, I decided to give it a try anyway. Sometimes it pays to read outside of your comfort zone.

This book was just ok. I like the author's style of writing. It isn't totally cheesy rubbish like Nora Roberts or Nicholas Sparks. The book spends more time on sex scenes than the actual burlesque aspect. Not shocking, considering it is an erotica. It also focuses on a character who is an outsider to the world of burlesque, so that also limits the time spent on burlesque. The actual burlesque parts were pretty interesting though.

The main character was annoying to me. I don't believe you have to like a character to enjoy a book, but I certainly did not like any of the characters. There were other issues I had with it as well. Alec is too controlling, and he is a total douche. There are times when I can agree with him though. Mallory is not as smart as she should be. This woman went to law school, but she lacks common sense. I guess that's possible. The other characters were equally douchey, annoying, vapid, etc.

Still, I am on the fence about reading the other books. I would hope that the other books focused more on the performance art of burlesque and that the characters will have changed after their experiences in the first book, but I have a feeling it is still going to focus on a lot of graphic sex and hurt feelings between vapid characters.

I chose this book in hopes of it being more of a burlesque story... it was more of a find your self book with A LOT OF SEX SCENES. I had issues with Alec and his whole "threesome" dream,(SPOILER) I was some what disappointing in Mallory for giving in at the end, even if they didn't end up doing it. Honestly if I saw my boyfriend of years kissing another woman, they would both get slapped. If you are looking for a modern sex novel, you've got it, man and woman, woman and woman, man and man, it has everything and some.

Having never been to a burlesque club, I can't vouch for how authentic the descriptions are but it seems very realistic. The feather boas, fake lashes and body glitter are very reminiscent of Moulin Rouge and the bitchy catfights behind the scenes are all very Dynasty and Dallas !

It's an enjoyable chicklick-esque series of novels with a decidedly raunchy edge. Whatever you do, don't lend them to your mum after you've finished reading them !

I really like the concept of this book. I've never read a book with Burlesque being the backdrop of the story. I wouldn't categorize this as a wonderful book though. The writing didn't always bring me in and felt awkward at times. The story didn't totaly pull me in and make me feel their feelings. A really good book will do that in my opinion. But I still enjoyed it and will continue reading the series.

Another amazing story by Logan Belle!
This one sets you on a roller coaster ride of emotions between two main characters and a whole host of strong secondary characters that keep this story going.
Yes, there is a strong sexual presence. BUT this story is  SO much more then that. The way the author writes and details this story,  she make  you feel like your a part of the life and decisions that these two ppl make. AMAZING.
Can't wait to read bk two and three.

I started reading this book casually I. My living room. Before I knew it, I was turning the pages at red lights, rushing my kid's bedtime routine and staying up all night to get to the next chapter. The burlesque world tends to make women feel sexy and this book did that. Bravo!!! Great book.

Fascinating book. I have never read a book with so much F/F. Alec was fascinating yet troublesome and Mallory trying to figure out her life purpose was an interesting struggle. All the characters were very unique and make you want more of all of them.

Wild fun, but a little short on substance. More sexy than raunchy. If the world of burlesque and steamy romance appeals to Blue Angel will be a fun summer read.
