An erotic novel set in steamy, corporate Miami where emails send temperatures soaring.
Tina thinks she’s found her perfect match; a mirror of her black upper-middleclass background. But when heartbreak wears the polish off of his shining armor, it’s time to discover what she’s been missing.
Latin beauty Noemi works hard and plays rough, finding pleasure in bringing men to their knees. How long can she remain on top? That depends on who’s asking. Pamela has it all, but it’s not what you have, it’s how you get it, and she doesn’t like things to come easy. When she stumbles across a suitable challenge, she might finally be in over her flaming red head.
Satisfaction. Every woman wants it, but when too much of a good thing is more than they can handle, these three women find themselves in uncharted territory, testing the limits of their deepest desires. It's Jimmy's game and rules are not his concern. He’ll bring them to the edge of passion where seduction is a unique indulgence that respects no boundaries
Alyssa Turner is every woman and like no other. The one who stares into space while standing in sensible shoes at the supermarket, and you wonder what she might be thinking. Few things make her smile like the rush of creativity—she’s addicted. When she isn’t writing, she’s cooking dinner or washing clothes…or dreaming up her next delicious scene. She enjoys writing in several sub-genres, including ménage and sci-fi and has several full-length epublications currently available. Her debut publication was a short in Best Women's Erotica 2011, edited by Violet Blue. More shorts appear in print anthologies from Xcite Books and Cleis Press, with the illustrious editors, Miranda Forbes and Rachel Kramer Bussel.
I can say I really enjoyed this read! It was fast, sexy, shocking~ Wow, I knew Alyssa can write sexy eroticas but this one from her was vastly different from her other works.
This has lots of steamy erotic language, talking, touching, hot scenes and imaginations.
So, this story tells the story of many POVs from characters in the story. There are two main characters, Tina and Jimmy who works together at a corporate, but we also see Noemi, a nurse by day and a waiter by night at a bar, and Pamela, an attorney.
Tina is a beautiful black young lady, 24 and working as an editor at IGB. She’s just broken up with her boyfriend after finding him getting heads from a brunette in his car. She accidentally sent her rant letter to Jimmy, her co-worker and semi boss, who sent it back to her with a saucy (erotic) note leaving her hungry for more. Her best friend Sonya is a nurse, whom she starts to fall out with due to her relationship with Jimmy.
Noemi is a Latina lady in her 20s and works two jobs to support her mother and 8year old brother who has MS. She’s a nurse and a waitress at an erotica bar. She seduces and punishes males who are cheaters, whom are brought into the bar by Jimmy.
Pamela is an 37year old Caucasian and works as an attorney. She and her husband, Lance are getting a divorce after years of unhappy marriage due to work schedules. She meets Jimmy on a flight back home and overheard his steamy and erotic phone conversation with Noemi and soon becomes fascinated in his allure. But also in her ow sexual pleasures.
Jimmy is 36, Caucasian, and works at IGB. He’s got secrets and a creative heand at sending steamy erotic letters. He has been in love with Tina since he first laid eyes on her. Her boyfriend is a cheater and he has a plan to prove it to her with his friend Noemi’s help. His friend Lance can also use some help after what he’s gone through. But he wasn’t planning on his life changing so much after meddling in Tina’s life.
Although this wasn’t the first time I’ve read many POVs in a book I love this one very much!
In every chapter we followed a different POV from one of the characters. Each POV don’t tell the story at precisely the same time as one of the other POVs but more like after and continue or add to the story from the other character’s POV. All the stories from these POV tells the story of how the characters are connected, even if the characters don’t know it themselves.
These POVs were beautifully written. We got to see these characters at different lights and got to see how they think and feel and how they saw the other characters when their life line encounters one another without knowing how they’re connected.
I really, and I mean really enjoyed this because all the characters are connected in one way or another. But of course there is one reason to how that happened and it is through Jimmy.
Jimmy is the only male POV we got to see in this book and I really loved that. Because he was the connection between all of the other ladies it really made this book an enjoyable and fantastic read.
And Jimmy is really a naughty boy. He is portrayed (or known) as the life line controller of this whole book. He has control over what would happen and to whom. I’ll say he’s the master puppeteer pulling all the strings, and who knew that he can write such steamy (and erotic!) letters. (He would make a great author)
Although he has reasons to why he does them and demons of his own (being a sex addict), he was the only one I thought that really had depth. We got to see him change and have flaws and just…become this totally different hungry male that I was surprise and merry to have at the end of the book.
I really loved this guy even if his secrets were not so hot for me to handle but they were very understandable.
Though we also got to see how the ladies changed throughout the book I was happy for each of them. Kind of… (Pamela) Each and everyone of these characters found their own sexual wants, challenges, and eye opening experiences that it was a great ending.
And I really do hope Alyssa write more of these types of stories because I really did enjoy them. (Not saying that I don’t like her other works.) We still got to see the same writing and dialogue form and structure so it was great.
SEND was most excellent. It had me guessing all the while I was reading it. What an exciting read! Thank you, Alyssa Turner, for something that was so different in its approach to romance! First of all, there are three heroines and basically three heroes. No, it's not a ménage per se, but it takes a look at three women and their relationships with men and one man in particular is in the midst of it all.
I have to admit. When I first started reading this, my romance spirit was ruffled and sort of not wanting to like this book. But I don't give up. I promised the authors and review sites as well as myself that even if I don't like something, I will continue to read it. First of all because as a reviewer I think we should give our all to what we are reading so we can give our true opinion. Secondly because I have been entrusted with someone's creativity and to not read it to me is just not right.
So, again when first reading it, I was at the point that I wondered where it was going and thinking I would not like it. But Alyssa Turner showed through her creative mind and nontraditional look at romance that the love someone has for another can still shine through, right along with a person being able to reach a happily ever after or a happy for now kind of relationship without all the usual trappings.
Like I said there were three heroines that evolved around one male by the name of Jimmy.
Jimmy. Jimmy, wow, how interesting and sexy was Jimmy. He knew what he wanted and he played the game well. The thing I like about him is he interacts with each of the heroines and each of them has a thing for him. I seriously got so wrapped up in his character I began to wonder and second-guess what he was going to do next. He was full of surprises. Though I thought he was sexy and irresistible, I didn't want to love him or fall for him like the heroines all seemed to be doing. He didn't fit the neat little package of romance I was used to. But I fell for him anyways.
Tina is an African American professional who works with Jimmy and is friends with him. I didn't want to like her either. She was full of games just like Jimmy. But she grew on me and in the end I was rooting for her to be happy and to get all that she desired out of life and that included Jimmy. Now, I do have to say Ms. Tina did a very shocking thing early on in the book that made me not want to like her while she was doing it, but like she was under the spell of Jimmy, I was under the spell of some excellent writing that brought me back around.
Noemi is a Latina who by day is an exceptional nurse and also a caretaker of her brother and a waitress by night at a very interesting club. Not well off, she has to work two jobs to support herself, her mother and her brother. She was such an odd mixture of Alpha like female and sweetness. Noemi as well is enraptured with Jimmy. It is amazing the pull that one character had on them all. What Jimmy asked, Noemi did. No matter what it was and she truly got entangled in his games. Even though part of her disliked what she felt about him or the situation she found herself in because of him, she still would do it and find some pleasure in it.
Pamela is a Caucasian who is rich and sophisticated and basically a bitch to most. It was amazing to watch her interact with Jimmy and not get what she wanted or what she was used to getting. I liked that she thought she knew what she wanted. Though in fact she truly didn't come to realize what that was until Jimmy showed her.
Three women distinctly different yet at the same time alike. Wanting the same man. Jimmy. The author wove the three characters' stories together so well that you will find it explosive in what happens in the end. I will not divulge information on the other heroes, as I think in doing so I will give away the book and its ending.
I am telling you that it is a must read! Unconventional, Sexy, Erotic, Fun, Hot, Steamy and even endearing. I loved this book and I recommend it to anyone who still believes in love and happy endings.
Send is a new erotic novel release by Xcite ebooks! The three heroines (yes three) are near and dear to my heart, each of them strong and flawed at the same time. And the three heroes, well lets just say they all have melt-able qualities, but for very different reasons.
Jimmy - oh my Jimmy. When I began writing Send, his essence seemed to leap from the page for me. This seemingly benign guy with rivers of sexuality streaming just under the radar is exactly the type I adore. Un-traditionally sexy, with a lanky frame and anti-machismo, a girl might actually let his easy going sense of humor fool her. But one good look into those deep dark eyes, swirling with complexity and you know there's so much more to experience with this man. You know that you don't want to miss what mysteries linger just out of reach.
Lance - What a sweetie. This is the type of guy you call when your car breaks down on the way to the airport and you wish you could cancel your trip and just lose yourself in his smile. He's kind and open; the guy we all wanted to live next door to growing up. They might be friends, but Steve is Jimmy's exact opposite, wearing his heart on his sleeve. He would have been quarterback on his high school football team, a guy's, guy and a girl's dream date. This man is balanced and steady, a cozy blonde teddy bear in an athlete’s body with a coveted combination of confidence and humility that makes me tingle.
Archer - Well, what can I say about a man who never enters a room without leaving a distinct impression. He's blunt and unapologetic, with an affinity for the dramatic. He is alpha, first and foremost, but holds his grand stature without pretense. Archer doesn't need to announce his dominance with blustery remarks or overt aggression. His trademark cool is seemingly unshakable and with only a look he makes you want to do his bidding. He's stylish and a bit self-important, just enough that you want to see if he'll live up to his promise. I have a soft spot for men who take themselves a little too seriously. Their intensity is almost magnetic. Archer is a character that I've written before, and will surely write again.
Send will mark my 2nd full length work published by the forward thinkers at Xcite. In contrast to Bittersweet, this novel is an adventurous frolic into the sexual minds of six very different people. I hope you find it fun to read and the characters endearing.
I won this in the 2012 Erotic Enchants Holiday event and this was one of those that exceeded my expectations. The storyline is written very creatively and Jimmy wove his way through all the character's lives. He works his wicked ways to push all three heroines to test their limits.
Lots of kink that I like that fit into the story. I really enjoyed this book.
Kudos to this author for an unexpected and different storyline. This tale is woven in such a way that reminds me of the movie "Crash". Just when I thought I had thing figured out, she throws in another loop. I highly recommend this book as a walk on the wild side!

Ms. Turner’s three feisty women, Noemi, Tina, and Pamela, will bring a smile to every woman’s heart. Each one brings a wonderful ethnic beauty to the plot and depth of this sexy novel. The three women play like the men regarding games of the heart. They bring into each man’s life a twist and tug on their glorified anatomy with the bite of painful pleasure. Most women readers will appreciate how Ms. Turner flips the script on the male population.
Ms. Turner’s backdrop for each scene is steamy and takes place in sultry locales such as Miami and other tropical environments. I found all of the guys in Send to be lust puppies with great bodies and plenty of sexiness to shake any woman’s world if she believes the lies that easily roll off their sensuous, luscious lips. Are these men really as they portray themselves to be, God’s gift to the world of woman? You will have to read this gem to see if Jared, Lance and Jimmy are major players. Ms. Turner’s key male characters exemplify the insensitivity commonly associated with the Alpha male ego.
Ms. Turner does a fine job of conveying the emotional needs and sexual desires of three sensitive women. The settings and dialogues between the characters reflect realistic conversations between friends. She shares the complexities of communicating across lines of gender: Men are from Mars/ Women from Venus.c
The first three-fourths of the book may have you thinking you are walking in the shoes of the main characters. Suddenly things change drastically There are many surprises in this mind-blowing roller coaster of a ride containing conflicted and complicated love-life, work-place and family-life issues for all of the lead characters. I was confusingly captivated by this page-turner.
I enjoyed the well developed and written erotic play, which generates heat from head to toe. The ethnic blends were nicely done.
Send by Alyssa Turner is a funny, yet down to earth, read about turmoil between close friends and their lovers. Three smart, somewhat devious women share antics that give new meaning to the phase “Payback is a B*tch. ”
One man three women and a game that will keep you guessing. I am typically not a fan of books that tells the story of multiple main characters however Mrs. Tuner did a great job of thoroughly telling the main character Tina’s story. Out of the three women Tina, Naomi and Pamela the only woman’s who story I felt was left untold completely was Pamela. With that being said Send is a great erotic one sitting read. I did not want to put it down and when I was forced to put it down, due to real life….I picked the book back up as soon as I was able to. Send is just that good…you have to know what is going to happen next. Jimmy the book’s hero is a sex addict who finds a way to handle his addiction by words instead of the physical act of sex itself. Jimmy finds himself attracted to a co-worker and concocts a game to claim of for himself. This game creates a web of sex…lies and betrayal that will keep you guessing and enjoying the uber hot sex scenes. Oh and the sex scenes were well written, bountiful and oh so hot. My recommendation is to grab your copy today, add Send to your TBR list and have a spare pair of panties near by.
Probably closer to 3-1/2 stars. While these were all sexy vignettes that were interrelated, I think I was missing a connection between any of the pairs, missing the chemistry. I mean I was ultimately glad that Tina and Jimmy were together, but I wasn't sure they'd last. And I wondered what happened to Pamela. I wondered what happened to Jared (not that he deserved anything good, but maybe he actually learned his lesson). It was interesting, I just wish there had been more between the players than just lust.
What was suppose to be an angry email to a soon to be ex boyfriend turns into something way more interesting and exciting. When Tina gets the reply back sh see's that it was from her co-worker Jimmy. Can we say let the games began? Jimmy seems like a nice guy by there are about 3....maybe even 4 sides to Jimmy. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and doing the one more chapter chant. It draws you in.....THAT GOOD!!!
I understand why the other reviews are so favorable, as it is unique and a bit quirky. However, I found the gaps in the story annoying, and didn't really understand why/how Jimmy made his transformation with Tina. On the plus side, the variety of characters was well done, and the scenes were varied. In some places, I thought the sex scenes lacked detail, but the set-ups were good.
Amazing great unexpected and I had to check the cover cause this is not like the other books that I read by Alyssa... I have turned it over to the blog to OK to post on the page... Solid 4.5 rate I received the book from the author for an honest review, thank you. https://www.facebook.com/WeLoveKink/p...
