This concise guide to diagnosis, workup and treatment of the most important presentations in medicine is a unique resource for quick-yet-comprehensive reference on the wards. The content is entirely relevant and up-to-date, yet much quicker reading than UpToDate. The biggest weakness of this book is the index, which is full of mistakes. This frequently makes it difficult to find the topic or major disease you are looking for. I regularly find myself taking my pen out to make corrections to the index, after wasting time searching for a topic that was not where the index said it would be. I hope these errors will be fixed by the publisher for the next edition. That really is the only thing standing between this work and greatness.
