The white chocolate and pistachio cookies from this book won me an office baking contest. The nectarine crip with dried cherries, lemon sour-cream cake, roasted peppers with mint vinaigrette and goat cheese croutons and broccoli-leek soup with parmesan cream have all been hits with friends and family. Love the variety of recipies and use of fresh, seasonal ingredients, California style. Wine pairings are a nice touch too!

An excellent cookbook to reach for regularly. Try the roasted vegetable pasta, asian chicken noodle soup. The lemon cake was a big hit, too. I just wish it included pictures of the food.
