About the author

Zoran Drvenkar was born in Križevci in Croatia in 1967 and moved to Berlin with his parents at the age of three. He has been a writer since 1989, and his novels, poems, plays and short stories have won him numerous awards and prizes. Zoran Drvenkar currently still lives in Berlin.

In 2004 he wrote the childrens book Die Kurzhosengang under the pseudonym Victor Caspak & Yves Lanois.

Jan, Ben und Max erleben jeden Mittwoch Abenteuer, wenn Mama für 2 Stunden die Wohnung verlässt und die Nachbarin nach ihrer Tasse Kaffee eingeschlafen ist. Meist ist danach ein Chaos in der Wohnung, aber wie soll es schon aussehen, wenn man durchs Klo ausbüchsen, in der Nase der Nachbarin gegen Nasenhaare kämpfen und zum Mittelpunkt der Erde reisen muss?

In this 2nd book of the JanBenMax series, the 3 brothers travel though different well-known fairy-tales / stories and mix them up a bit. I found it a bit weird to see them in Andersen's "Snow Queen", Baron Munchausen's stories, the Brothers' Grimm's "Mother Trudy", etc., but my sons really loved it.

I read this to my boys, and they loved it. Now we'll start part 2 of the series :)
