Topics
I spent some time at a workshop with Marcia Ford, the author and a journalist who covers religious topics. She covers various experiences testing hope with a reflection and practice suggestion at the end of each chapter. She also includes many comments on hope from secular and religious sources. What doesn't appear in the book is her currently purple hair and ability to knit while making pertinent comments.
A very well-written book, it seemed less well thought out that the author's previous book. I really enjoyed Marcia Ford's smart, witty writing style, her references to real life situations, and her quotes.
