In this work Earhart has curated an excellent introductory work to many of the world's major religions. The book avoids the bias that most religious primers contain - it does not attempt to promote or detract from any of the religions it introduces, and instead focuses on providing a clear foundation for religious studies students.

This book should be thought of as an introduction to these religions. It does not pretend to plumb the depths of each, and readers who expect to be experts after reading it will be disappointed. However, it portrays as much information as possible in the ~100-200 pages devoted to each faith.
