Glenn Chandler is a Scottish playwright and novelist. He has written plays for theatre and radio, original screenplays for television and films, television series, non-fiction and novels. His best known work is the Scottish television detective series Taggart, which is broadcast around the world.

I didn't realise that the creator of Taggart also wrote a gory paperback novel about an outbreak of cannibalism in suburban Britain. The book is difficult to get hold of in English, where it's know as 'The Tribe', so I'm having to read this from a french language PDF that I've ran through Google Translate. Fleuve Noir seem to have pilfered a bit of imagery from The Beast Within for the cover.
