[Menage Amour Erotic Alternative Paranormal Menage a Quatre Romance, M/M/M/M, shape-shifters, sex toys] Sheriff Todd Zelner thought it best to use his dragon abilities, rather than his badge, to break up a sex slave ring. But Todd, Gabriel and six of their dragon friends aren't prepared for what they find when they raid the facility. With more survivors than anticipated, each dragon decides to take several home to care for and protect. While freeing the men, Todd catches the gaze of the lightest blue eyes he's ever seen staring back at him. As he releases the broken, beaten man from his cage, Todd discovers he's a mute who has shared the cage with two other survivors. Dylan, Seth, and Bryce are coming home with Todd. Can a dragon who's spent over a millennium alone find a way to help three gorgeous and abused men? ** A Siren Erotic Romance

I loved this second book as much as the first. With the same key elements of a big strong Dragon (Todd from the first story) and, in this case, three physically weaker humans, the story swept me away into a fairy tale situation of the perfect hero rescuing his mates. The dark threat that hangs over Todd added just enough tension, and a nice twist at the end, to keep me wanting to read. That plus the additional background about dragon shifter history made this a fascinating second installment for the series.

Todd has more to deal with than loneliness - he carries a secret that could cost him his life. It makes him afraid to accept the men he has rescued from horrible abuse as his mates, although he desperately wants to claim them. His honesty and honor when trying to hold back was admirable, but I was still relieved when he ultimately gave in to his need - and the love he begins to feel. Getting help from Gabriel (from the first book) in clarifying his situation was a good way of solving his issues.

Dylan is the most adorable of the three. Mute due to having been mistreated especially harshly, his ability to read others doesn't only let him open up to Todd before the other two are able to, it also is crucial support in fighting off the crisis at the end of the book. Seth and Bryce each add their own personality elements to making this family special.

If you like shifter stories and hot m/m/m/m menages you will like this book.

Yep, I adored Todd and his three mates. Dylan, Bryce, and Seth, had been used as sex slaves for a long time, so they deserved the smoking hot dragon.
I really enjoyed the little intrigue about the type of dragon Todd turned out to be, but mostly I liked watching three, sweet, adorable young men, bring happiness to a very lonely, and very old dragon.

For sexual abuse victims these boys all seem to be seriously hypersexual. And while that is sometimes a consequence of such abuse, more often than not - the OPPOSITE is true and they want nothing to do with sex and have some serious trust issues. This was not portrayed entirely at all realistically in this book.

Instead it degenerated into a sex fest with one liking the burn of penetration and...good Lord. With the obsession this woman has with sex one has to wonder if she ever had any. I mean SERIOUSLY. All her books have like next to NO PLOT, and heavy on the tasteless sex. As if it was written by an overly fantasizing sort of person...then again she does say she sleeps with a dog so...

PS - Yep, I know I'm being bitchy with the last paragraph. And yes, I'm communicating at the same level Miss Flynn uses herself. Just visit her Yahoo group and say anything less than "Great, fantabulous story" and you'll see what I mean.

As usual I didn't buy book 1 (it should be easier when shopping for books to know you are getting book 1 in the series or not) but then I bought it for the m/m/m/m but no where does it also say mpreg. NOT my thing. Thankfully it's not a big part of it so it didn't bother me too much. This is set in a world where humans killed nearly all the women when dragons were revealed because they thought the women were dragons in hiding but there are no female dragons. Now women are hoarded and sex slavers seem to be big on enslaving twinks who this dragon group rescues and ends up taking home and getting pregnant.

Eh. Kind of lame and for a world where there are no women, half the world population they appear to live in normal houses, go shopping, buy groceries, etc. You'd think the world would be in chaos but apparently not.

This is another fabulous series by the equally fabulous Joyee Flynn! I just cannot get enough of this author. Ms. Flynn creates fantastical worlds like nobody’s business, and the world of the North American dragons is no exception. The world building is simply put extraordinary. I especially liked the idea of how the humans discovered dragons existed and their reaction to the information, which was very typical human nature. The emotional bond that builds between the four is written in such a way that you can literally feel what each character is feeling, particularly Dylan; his frustration with his inability to communicate verbally is brought home very well through description and his actions. While the bond seems to develop a bit more deeply and quickly with Dylan than with Bryce and Seth, at no time does the reader feel as if Todd loves them any less, or that Dylan is his favorite, which can sometimes happen in books with multiple partners. The sex and the emotions are deeply entwined in this story as well, making it a stellar read. I for one am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series, and I encourage anyone who enjoys excellent world building mixed with stellar m/m romance to pick up a copy of this and the first book in the series Dragon Mine today. They both totally rock!

So...a foursome and yes, they were still all emasculated. I thought Todd would be a little more alpha considering he was the last dragon of his race alive and the Sheriff but nope, still a damn p*ssy. Ironic calling p*ssy to a dragon but it's true. Really. The one who ended up showing some alpha tendencies was actually the smallest of them, Dylan. Again irony at its best. Todd ended up being even more emotionally dependent than Gabriel in the previous novel. I complain all the time about harsh alpha men but I'm starting to pray for them...This is just ridiculous. They cried their eyes out about 45% of the book. When they weren't crying they were fucking and that's the only reason why I ever gave a two star rating.

A litte more character development would have been useful in this one, as the boys were a bit interchangeable at times. Still not a bad addition to the series, and I liked the development of the dragons and the fact that Todd was unique.

The plot thickens a bit, but is poorly resolved. Still too much sex with too little story.

This is an excellent second offering to the NA Dragon Series. Todd's take charge personality shines through, proving why he's sheriff. At the same time, his vulnerability due to secrets from his past give this character depth and the reader's compassion. Watching how Todd, an ancient dragon hermit, interacts with three horny men, who constantly try to seduce him, is quite funny. Dylan, Seth, and Bryce decide it's their duty to show their rescuer how wonderful it can be to have someone care for him, doing their best to pamper Todd at every turn. Their antics are cute and sweet, proving that even the most abused people can still have a bit of innocence buried deep inside. I loved reading how they came together and helped each other overcome their pasts.

typical joyee flynn serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical joyee flynn? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :
joyee flynn
sunny day
lynn hagen
stormy glenn
scarlett hyacinth
carol lynne
gabrielle evans

unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win

so far not as good as the first one, i haven't been able to connect and understand any of the characters.

Edit:

Ok, to make it short this book seems like it wasn't originally planned, totally rushed, couldn't really connect with the characters & Dylan was heavily favorited by the author, and when it was hinted the king and the guard had a relationship i was totally taken out of the book, a lot of cheesy dialogs without the proper character development, and Dylan for a heavily abused and leg broken guy was flirty the whole time, like a broken leg is nothing.

One of the more entertaining Joyee Flynn books I've read. Many guys doing many things to eachother with the center of their group being a dragon shifter. Nothing sad or funny really, just a fun read.
