Book three in the Luecross Wolves Series A past that haunts, but a future that holds only the most carnal of pleasures. Forest Haven is a picturesque vacation spot, but Alexander knows that the Luecross werewolves lurk just behind the thick tree line. What he doesn't know is that he is being hunted by his kind. Alexander is a Luecross wolf and although he knows of his heritage, he was kept away from his kind by his adoptive parents. He has grown to fear what he is. Never has he shifted, fighting the temptation over and over again, fearing that if he gave into his basic urges he would end up hurting the people he loved. Coming across two naked men in a clearing is a sight that brings wicked feelings to Alexander. Not only is he unsure about his emotions, but he also realizes the wolf that he has tried to suppress for so long is howling to be released. When Merrick and Landon reveal who and what they really are, they also show Alexander what it means to truly let the beast out, teaching him what carnal pleasures can be unlocked if he just lets his inner wolf free.
This third Luecross Wolves book that is MMM and about Alex who was taken from his parents when he was one month old. He started feeling weird, like his skin was breaking out and he was going crazy. When he gets to the lodge he finds his mates Merrick and Landon also answers to many questions about what he is and where he comes from. This one has a bit more storyline to it and you have a shapeshifter that's not transformed. Good story and HEA.
I liked this story - it was hot, had an interesting take on a werewolf who grew up among humans, and presented me with a very "wolf like" group of werewolves.
Alex is an interesting case of a werewolf who was taken from his parents by people intent on 'reforming' him. They didn't like werewolves, were afraid of "the beast" - and ended up teaching Alex the same hatred and fear. It takes some pretty convincing action from Merrick and Landon (who finally find Alex after years of searching for him) to help Alex open up and start accepting his true self.
Merrick and Landon play a bigger role in Alex's life than suspected - and it's a great explanation for their tenacity over the years. Unfortunately we don't find out a lot about them and their motivations, except their concern for Alex.
If you're looking for some hot shifter m/m/m action with just enough background to clarify the setting, you will probably like this story.

This might be my second threesome involving all guys. Alex is a wolf shifter who was kidnapped as a baby and brainwashed into thinking the shifter part of him was barbaric and evil. Now that his adoptive parents are dead, Alex goes off in search of answers. And finds Merrick and Landon, two wolf shifters who have been searching for him - not only so he can be reunited with his parents, but because they are his mates.
MMM threesomes aren't really my thing. Too much testosterone really. I wasn't paying attention to blurbs, just plugging away at the series and started reading. Their romance is kind of cute and there isn't really any top/bottom rule - they all do what they want. This just isn't my thing. I prefer a one-on-one deal with guys.

I was not as impressed with this third book in the series. Namely because I found it hard to believe that Alex had reached the age he was without ever shifting. Knowing full well that his adoptive parents had stolen him and tried to exorcise the beast from him, it seemed odd that he was okay with that. The sex was just as hot as the other books and this time it was m/m/m.
