Just from the title, you know that this is not a going to be an unbiased essay, but I wanted to check it out for curiosity sake.

"In preparing this book I have tried to be objective and
limit emotional appeals. ..."
*makes a bunch of emotional appeals and unobjective statements throughout*

We are off to a good start.

Dr. Bowins, a psychiatrist and "...a researcher with several game changing theories...", someone that "...challenges the status quo...", and who's "...publications have fostered paradigm shifts...", has also published works on topics such as cosmology and "Merging Religion and Science". (uhoh)

Now, for clarity sake I've only read the 2006 first addition, and with that in mind, I question how reliable and relevant the studies it references still are. Many are from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and may not reflect current practices, tools, techniques, or knowledge of biological processes. From my understanding, scalpels, multiple incisions, clips, and permanent non-disolvable sutures are no longer en vogue.

I feel deeply for anyone who is afflicted by chronic pain after a surgical procedure, but this hyperbolic piece doesn't hold the answers, nor should it dissuade anyone from getting a vasectomy.
