This was a sweet, sappy read of the steamboat era. Jack and her two sisters inherited a steamboat from their dad and that was it. So they had to scramble in order to find a way to pay their way. Alex the first sister got nominated to find a ship's captain that they could trick...err...marry into coming on board. That was the first book. Lou's was the 2nd book and now we have Jack's book. She is the wildest of the three and determined that Cal, the good looking gambler and now part owner of the boat is not going to stop her from her obtaining her dream of owning a horse ranch. Read on as these two gamble on love with Jack better to open and hearts are wild. This was a GP rated book with strictly kissin going on, but was still a nice read and a nice ending to the trilogy.
This must have been a free e-book or something. This book was TERRIBLE. Maybe if I had read the first two books of this series I would have been prepared for the cheesy schmaltz that was the 146 pages of the book.
Strange because I enjoyed the Lucy Valentine series
