This is a lovely short novel, a fantasy, magical story set in Scotland. Although the main character is 12 years old the story is also designed for adults. It has messages of family love and support as well as reminding us it can be right to follow your heart. I very much liked this story and look forward to reading more of Anthony Hills work.
An enchanting fantasy story about a boy who defies the local church and brings music back to his island in Scotland. This was a quick read, but, as a story of courage and of a child making a difference, reading it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. It will be going onto the bookshelves in my classroom.
