I read "The Hormone Diet" and loved it. I have actually utilized a lot of information from it and have bought multiple copies to give to friends. I bought the Super Charged Hormone Diet because I wasn't seeing results even after I followed the Anti Inflamatory diet for long periods of time. I started reading and got to about page 60 where she cuts out all starch and grain out the first week or so of the new "Super charged" program. I was mad at this point because it reminded me of a fad diet which I initially thought it wasn't. I know Dr. Turner has a lot of great info but I don't want a fad diet. I have been studying a plant based whole food approach and I like it much better. Watch "Forks over Knives" on Netflix and get an intro. I have read multiple books on the topic the past few months and have added whole grain and starch back in in abundance and am not gaining weight. My husband has lost over 10 pounds as well. I will definitely utilize The Hormone Diet to tweak my hormone levels but not follow the diet as it encourages an approximate 30% animal/dairy protein inclusion. Good luck!

Excellent, informative, easy to put into practice, life style!! You can't go wrong. Like I said it's more than a diet, per se. It is a life style to be adopted to, not only extend your life, but make it a more enjoyable, healthier one. I am putting it into practice immediately after reading through so I could get the whole picture. I definitely need the energy, digestive support, and complement to my bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. She thoroughly explains how it all works together. Plenty of specifics on daily plans, recipes, brands, sources, and tracking forms.

A retelling of The Hormone Diet that promotes eating more and exercising more and tracking food sensitivity. Started this book years ago and finally finished it. Some good points but a little vague even though I have seen some of these suggestions in many other diets.

This detox and lifestyle change is common sense. You don't need to be a genius to get what Dr. Turner is telling you. Detox, get healthy (for good), figure out what your body needs and fix it. She also makes suggestions for what brands to buy. I think the only thing I wasn't keen on was the reverse osmosis water filter that she wants everyone to have. It's just not an option for me. Regular tap water that is filtered will have to do.

I've found that doing my own research is better for finding brands I like. For instance, I want to 'go organic' so I really had to research a whey protein I felt would fit all my needs.

Some helpful info and ideas, but could do without the fixation on obesity.

Looks like there is good recipes. Same old stuff, best to eat paleo. Not sure about some of the protein powders she talks about.
