Trying to get some shut-eye is no easy task when the lamp is rattling, the dishes are clattering, and shoes are tumbling down the stairs.

Who is making all that racket?

This book is about a girl who is talking about how her Papa and Nana snore. They both snore and make things rattle, fall, and shake but she cannot figure out who snores louder. Her mother insists that they both wake up people from neighboring states! The girl does not mind because it helps her go to sleep. And when she sleeps things rattle and fall and shake...
I think a theme for this book would be family. You could show it to a kid who maybe lives with grandparents who raised them, since she is sleeping over with her grandparents in this book.
I liked this book because of how it was written. They used creative ways to display the words on the page and the entire color theme of the book is blue since it is night time.
I would recommend this book to kids who live with their grandparents because it shows there is nothing wrong with not bing raised by your mom and dad. I also would recommend it because I think the kids would enjoy how the words flow the on the page like the grandparent's snore is moving the words.

This book is for children. The key topic is to show the difference between Papa and Nana's snores. In the story, the girl starts to describe the sounds each snores make and the different things it affects. She then realized they both have a loud snore and both snores combined are even louder. I rate this story a 5/5 because it’s something that can make kids laugh. There’s many different sounds and I think kids would enjoy it.

Copyright in 2000 this title will always be timely as snoring is a human condition that will never disappear. The blue colors used to represent nighttime are beautiful. Illustrations are done in gouache and ink with some it paper.

Cute story of a little girl who can't decide who snores the loudest--grandma or grandpa. I could just see my nieces and nephews trying to figure out the same thing about my parents! I've had my own restless nights on vacations when both the snores together make it very hard for me to fall asleep! I like the little twist at the end. Great story time book with the sounds that can be made. But I may have to practice so I can better get into it when I tell it.

This book just didn't capture the kids and me. It'Aa great example of using sound words in literature, but I'm pretty sure I could find ones that would be more interesting and engaging. The constant repetition wore on the kids so they had really lost interest by the cute twist at the end.

The snoring sound effects are funny, but the things that happen are just a little too outrageous.
