The Dunleavy Legacy

Octavia Whitworth Dunleavy - formidable matriarch of the family - wants to hand over once-renowned Dunleavy Farm to her three grandchildren. Will they accept her offer? And will they be able to overcome old feuds and jealousies, family pride and betrayals, as they attempt to restore the Dunleavy dynasty to its former glory?

The invitation couldn't have come at a better time.

Nan Dunleavy was on her own and out of money. The cost of her fathers' long illness had driven their small dude ranch into bankruptcy. Octavia's offer gave her the chance to make a fresh start.

Unfortunately, a few miles from Dunleavy Farm, a teenager on a bicycle slammed into the back of her beat-up old truck. Seconds later, a large luxury car pulled up beside her and an irate man - obviously the boy's father - delivered an unflattering lecture on Nan's driving.

The man's name was Trent Spencer and, despite the hostile introduction, he and his son were about to change Nan's life...

I was disappointed in this book Done Cryin was Repetitive, Quite slow, and the relationship between Nan and Trent felt really pushy from Trent’s side I didn’t like that he was forcing Nan to go faster in their relationship than she more than once asked too. I also didn’t like how much of a bag Nan became after being around Trent she became rude, selfish, and plain stupid to what was completely obvious even to the other characters who kept telling her so! I was honestly waiting for the grandmother to have a creepy ulterior motive to wanting all her grandkids on the farm and practically bribing them to do so and to stay that part was a little weird and less than charming for me as well. To top it off the book leads off in a cliffhanger that forces you to read the final book and I wasn’t interested I had hoped to give this 5 stars but sadly for me it’s a 1

Nan has never had a easy life. With a father who turned to a bottle for comfort after the death of his wife, Nan, with the help of her wonderful friend Yolanda ran the family dude ranch. After his death, Nan receives the answer to her prayers in a letter from her unknown grandmother, inviting her to Tennessee. Nan is terrified but sets out on this new adventure. What she finds is family, love and mystery. Who is sabotaging Dunleavy Farm? What does Meredith know? Where is Done Cryin'?

This was perfectly good of its type. It's a bit dated (published 1995) but all in all an ok way to pass a couple of hours.
