The ultimate goal of Consciousness Examen is to live a life of daily discernment. It is a positive exercise which primarily focuses on God's goodness and steadfast love to make us deeply aware of the presence of His love in the ordinary details of daily living. The Consciousness Examen grows out of the desire to love as God loves. It's a way of translating the experiences of the spiritual exercises into our everyday reality. It enables us to find God in all persons, things, and events - to become contemplatives in action and thus to love and serve where the Lord calls. It teaches us to become persons who instinctively discern the call of the Spirit. It helps us make of our every action a loving answer to God's invitation.
