Let Darragh Metzger take you away to far off and oft frightening lands where nothing is as it seems, and yet ... some things never change. Darragh writes with stunning details, vivid portrayals and page turning adventures that kept this reader ruminating. Her research, life experiences, hard work and imagination have created a world filled with intense, hard fighting characters. Armed and capable, each must face his or her demons, learn to trust and find love while pitted against mystical and monstrous foes. AND, it doesn't end here, there are more books in this fantasy series.

Ironwolfe is the beginning of a great series.
A long time ago, Darragh and I were in the same writing group. Thus, I read parts of this series long ago, and always expected to see it in print from a a major house. Darragh is a brilliant and careful writer with impeccable world-building and compelling characters. She has the chops for this, too. She knows horses and jousting and fighting from her work with The Seattle Knights.
If you like high fantasy with quests and magic and honor, you'll love this.
