An excellent primer on Dalit literature, a term I now have an issue with thanks to the insights contained in this book.

Read it. Very brief, cursory overview. The details about the history of Dailt publishing in India (English and FRench I guess) are useful, as are some of the interviews. Interviews include professors that teach, or chose to offer Dalit studies, mainstream and non-mainstream editors, activists, theoreticians of Dalit studies and writers, so it makes for a great overall collection of views. It's probably the only one of its kind around also.
