Bloody Treason: On Solving History's Greatest Murder Mystery : The Assassination of John F. Kennedy

Rate this book

As provided in the Constitution of the United States, the structure of the government is systematically divided into three separate, offsetting powers: the legislative, the executive, and the judicial.

On November 22, 1963, and the months that followed, that system experienced a massive failure, from which the nation has never fully recovered. This book is the story and the evidence of how it happened.

While much has been written about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the dark forces behind his murder have never been convincingly exposed. In Bloody Treason, Noel Twyman has written an explosive new explanation of the assassination and its cover-up. This fascinating book lays out powerful evidence that a cabal of extremists and military officers, conspiring with gangsters and corrupt government officials, planned and ordered the crime of the century.

Bloody Treason is a product of five years of sifting and evaluation of tens of thousands of pages of documents found in the National Archives, and of hundreds of books and papers. It includes first-time interviews with critical witnesses and is updated with the most relevant documents recently released by the Assassination Records Review Board as authorized by Congress. It includes more than 160 photos and exhibits. The result is a major revision of history, one that will forever change our understanding of how and why John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

Among the books highlights:

* Newly released documents revealing a plan to precipitate an invasion of Cuba by U.S. forces; and why this plan was discarded shortly after the assassination.

* A new discovery and proof that the Zapruder film was altered to conceal what really happened at the time of the fatal shot.

* Newly released tapes and documents show that Lyndon Johnson used nuclear war scare tactics to intimidate key people in Dallas and Washington, D.C. to cover up the crime and that he, J. Edgar Hoover, and the CIA knew at the time these scare tactics were false.

* Twyman provides an updated analysis of the horrifying events before and during the autopsy, based on consultation with medical scientists and statements of eyewitnesses. Newly released documents from the National Archives corroborate author David Lifton's discovery that Kennedy's body was literally stolen from Air Force One and modified to conceal evidence before the body was delivered to the autopsy room.

Bloody Treason contains new evidence direct from Cuban intelligence. And dramatic revelations are presented from CIA operatives who were involved in the periphery of the assassination plot. This evidence reveals that right-wing extremists in Dallas and New Orleans met with CIA operatives in 1962 and 1963 and that at these meetings the assassination of John F. Kennedy was discussed and contract offers made. It also reveals that documents and information about Oswald in Mexico City were fabrications.

Twyman takes us deep into the labyrinth of the JFK assassination plot and reveals the shocking trade craft of covert political assassinations practiced by the U.S. government during the 1960s. He explains how these programs tragically backfired, resulting in the assassination of President Kennedy. The evidence of the master conspiracy is developed step by step until the identities of the powerful people behind the plot are revealed.

Bloody Treason advances the understanding of the JFK assassination to an entirely new level. The shocking revelation of corruption and betrayal in high places is without precedent in U.S. history.

'Bloody Treason' is a bloody monster of a book! So very many other books on this subject make reference to Twyman's work that I have wanted to read this for years. The ridiculously prohibitive price of around £250 for a real book off Amazon has prevented me getting hold of a copy. If someone can explain to me why monumental works of historical research are out of print when the original publication date was as recent as 1997, I would be grateful.
Thanks to the Kindle this masterpiece is available for just over £6. Not only that, but recent updates are included from 2010.
There is such a huge ocean of information covering the multitudinous strands of this case that it is just not possible to cover in a short review. Suffice to say that Noel Twyman's 'Bloody Treason' remains essential reading today. More recent books have corrected some of this authors presumptions, for instance it was the Secret Service/CIA who were responsible for the alterations to the Zapruder film and not the FBI. I also have more certain reasons for LBJ's prior knowledge of the assassination than those listed here. However the connections to Hemming and Hargraves are profound. More recently further investigated by Larry Hancock in his 'Someone Would Have Talked'.
Without question this is five stars. Best thing I've read since 'JFK & The Unspeakable'.

". . . We should be grateful for Noel Twyman's monumental work. The impact of his contribution in assimilating so much valuable information is incalculable. It will endure in the critical community and future generations of historians. The quality of this response to President Kennedy's call to "ask what you can do for your country," sets an example which reflects enormous credit on Noel and places all of us in his debt . . . Mary Elizabeth Ferrell, Dallas, Texas, June 1997

"You tell Noel Twyman for me that his book is the best thing I’ve ever read on the assassination.” James W. Sibert, FBI agent who witnessed the autopsy at Bethesda Naval Hospital, as reported by William Matson Law in his book, 'The Eye of History'.

Addendum:- Having read this book back in 2013 on Kindle, I have in 2019 acquired the hardback from the collection of British researcher and author Ian Griggs, for the cost of £5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I confess I did not finish this book. I read about half and frankly that was all I needed. As much as the research may look intimidating and factual what I read is purely horseshit for instance:

Twyman's portrayal of the Kennedy's is simply wrong. The first portion of the text is devoted exclusively to 'solving' the murder of Marilyn Monroe, which he places as the work of Robert Kennedy, or even John Kennedy to silence her for any potential secrets she might leak destroying the political ambitions of the pair of them. The sources that he uses to "prove" this allegation are two sources: one by Collier and Horowitz who use as a source Frank Capell-who actually happened to be an excellent writer of smear works on many other candidates-AKA not at all a reputable source (as an aside Capell was also the first person to stipulate that Robert Kennedy inadvertently caused his brother's death, this of course is also fiction, but I'll get there in a bit). The second source originates from one Howard Rothburg who besides implicating the Kennedy's in Monroe's death also asserted that the reason that she had been offed by them was because that she had sat in on many a cabinet meeting, and indeed had not only threatened exposure of her relationship with Kennedy, but he claims that she also wanted to reveal that JFK had been keeping flying saucers locked away in Cuba and was engaged in some form of diplomacy with them as well. Howard Rothburg, who claimed to be an "intimate" of Monroe actually had NO connection with either Monroe, or Kennedy and in fact was an interior decorator well removed from her life. These two false references were then peddled by Norman Mailer who used them to pay off a tax debt that he owed, and Seymour Hersh who's own disgusting Dark Side of Camelot, peddled the same (and further) untruths. The rest is history of course-albeit fiction posing as such and nothing more.

Twyman also places the blame of the Castro assassination attempts by the CIA at the Kennedy brothers feet again, though Kennedy in numerous instances had specifically repudiated them, becoming so incensed that they had been continued without his knowing that he actually broke a plate during dinner. The Church Committee which occurred just prior to the Select Committee that Twyman quotes also uncovered absolutely NO evidence of JFK's or RFK's involvement-though it did implicate Eisenhower and Nixon.

The Kennedy's associations with certain members of the mafia is also false. The sources that Twyman uses here are like the allegations of involvement in Monroe's death also from disreputable sources. The highlight being a particular source who concluded her "account" by stating that she had only three years to live, and actually survived that statement by nearly two decades-not without revising and excising what "happened" as well. Again, hardly a reputable source, and certainly not the pristine diligent job that Twyman would have us believe.

What I read of this garbage is just another installment in the Second Assassination of President Kennedy. What it seeks to accomplish is to so trash President Kennedy and Robert Kennedy as drunken, drug addled, murderous, womanizers tyrannical enough to rule Prussia, and through these attributes worthy of their fates, and us lucky to have had to endure the puritanical, farcical triumvirate of Nixon, Reagan and Bush. Twyman's book is libelous, shitty, and inaccurate yes. History? No.
