My dad passed away last year and this was one of the books he left behind. I have always been interested in local history and architecture so found this endlessly fascinating. It is great to see how my home city used to look, some of the 'then' pictures I even remember. It is so sad to see how the city has lost so much of its beauty and history. Anyway, I found this to have the perfect format - a perfect balance of photos and accompanying text. A really interesting read!
