Love this book out of nostalgia more than anything. My friends and I used to check out this book from my jr. high school library so that we would have good visual references for D&D. Later I stole it and still possess it over 30 years later. Now I don't recommend stealing library books, but I do recommend beautiful photo references of hundreds of very old weapons. If you're into that kind of thing. I still use it to draw from now, but don't have any of those old friends to play D&D with anymore.

How do you make such an interesting topic boring? By not listing developments in weapons and armor side-by-side. By not showing how one influenced the other.

Also by sounding like the most boring history professor imaginable (even worse than the ghost teacher from Harry Potter).

In conclusion: interesting subject, but boring presentation.
