Dear Penthouse Forum,
I never thought I'd be writing a review like this but I came upon your book while searching for a definitive biography of the rap pioneers, Naughty by Nature. Needless to say, I was in for a bit of a shock when I read your "naughty" letters. While I certainly encourage the almost lost genre of epistemological literature I feel that your "letters" all seem to tell a similar story and the old maxim "If you've read one, you've read them all," most certainly applies. Particularly in reference to the character of the "pool boy" that seems to appear in a majority of the letters. Also, though I claim no super powers of perception, I do wonder if all these letters were in fact written by women. The prose, the comical situations in which these "women" find themselves seem as if they have arrived directly from the id of a teenage boy. In fact, one of the letters is signed "William Minick" which indicates even a certain amount of laziness, and frankly, contempt for the reader, which I found oft-putting.

Published as a compilation of letters from female fans, Penthouse: Naughty by Nature is a series of brief, unrelated vignettes organized loosely into chapters by theme. All the stories feature women enjoying sexual pleasure; many also sport impressive genital measurements and an assortment of slang terms to refer to them. It might give a voyeuristic thrill into the sexual lives of women, but it is ultimately erotica written by amateurs.
