A fantastic book looking at the formation of 5 Bronze Age monuments. With detailed description of the construction and materials used to make it with hypothesis of what they could have been and the function of their use. This book takes a forensic look at the landscape and construction of the sites of Avebury, Durrington Walls, Marden, Mount Pleasant and Stonehenge looking at the human labour force used to construct them, materials which give dates to the erecting of certain phases and the societies that these monuments represented. The illustrations are great to give you a detailed look at the size and infrastructure of the monuments.
