The Omega Exchange: The Lodge #2

Anastasia Androff came to The Omega Exchange with an agenda. It wasn't her plan, but she found herself a pawn in the games of powerful men.

It's going to take someone like Viktor Nikolov, an alpha Daddy Dom with a penchant for spanking and solving dangerous problems to flip the chessboard.

But when the threats coming for Anastasia are more than even Vik can tackle on his own, he knows he needs help: his pack of slightly deranged alphas that aren't afraid of doing what needs to be done.

When the last moves play out, will this hasty collision of a pack be enough to keep Anastasia safe?

Especially when the haze of rut hits . . .
* * *

This is the second book in The Omega Exchange series. It can be read as a standalone, but you'll get more enjoyment reading them in order as familiar characters pop up in the newer books.
This entire series is low stress/low angst. Each story has no cheating, no choosing, and a full content info is listed in the author's note.

📚 Book Review 📚
Damaged Princess is a deliciously enjoyable, low angst, high steam, sweet omegaverse that closes out Anastasia’s story from A Pack for Christmas. It can conceivably be read as a standalone. Still, I highly recommend that you read A Pack for Christmas first for an introduction to The Omega Exchange system, Everly and her pack, and a bit of Anastasia’s back story – though we get a more thorough backstory here in Damaged Princess.

The men in the pack do not seem to have relationships as cohesive as typically found within packs; they even acknowledge they never felt like a pack, more like roommates. It isn’t until they find Anastasia that the impulse to bond permanently solidifies; even then, they must learn to share. Ana becomes the glue that makes their long-term friendship become something more.

I am obsessed with Wolfe, the slightly sadistic, very dominant, obsessive, and yet surprisingly sweet Alpha. The things that come out of his mouth make my heart race, and I love the way he claims Ana as his. His love language is death threats to anyone who aims to harm Anastasia, and I am 100% here for it. The other two are very lucky he is willing to share; otherwise, I could see a bloodbath coming. I am glad he does share because Daddy Vik and sweet Rafe are perfect for Ana, too.

This book is fast burn and scorching hot. Poor Anastasia is suffering the effects of abruptly ceasing heat suppressants and experiencing intense heat spikes that require copious amounts of orgasms and knots to soothe. Two of the men are dominants, so you will find some light BDSM elements within - Daddy Vik gives some sexy and cathartic spankings, while Wolfe makes the pain feel oh so sweet. And like any good omegaverse, there is a healthy amount of knotting, nesting, slick, scenting, group scenes, and multiple peens in holes. There are MF, MFM, and MFMM groupings.

I LOVE high-angst books, but reading this was a great change of pace. I highly recommend this book to those looking for a lighter sweet omegaverse – it is a refreshing read when you want a book that gets to the HEA without dragging you through pages and pages of angst. The Omega Exchange books are quickly becoming my go-to when looking for something light. I cannot wait to see what else the universe brings.

I'm extremely annoyed right now. I meant to save this to read this weekend but I saw it on my kindle and read it in four hours. My major complaint is that it's short. I don't think it's novella length because it's 270 pages but I blew through it and I wanted more!

The Exchange series is more romantic comedy than the authors other books. This is high heat and has a plot outside the relationship although it does feel secondary but I was never bored.

Annastasia won me over to her side and I liked her story at least as much as a pack for christmas. I felt Vik redeemed himself by being gone only to protect Anna. He also was bonded last and Anna still gave him hell. But for being a Dom I'd expect better communication from him but honestly even that feels like a small gripe.

There is:
Breeding kink
Somnophilia - a small scene and it's consensual
Murder - it didn't bother me but it's there
No cheating or other woman drama
No MM
NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP
Murphy and his animal sanctuary references
Daddy kink and spankings.

5 sweet but spicy stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I forgot how much I love Jillian West’s writing! I absolutely adored A Pack for Christmas and I can happily say the same for the second book in The Omega Exchange! 💜

I was super curious about Anastasia in book 1 because you could tell there was so much more to her than spoiled omega princess and we really delved into that. She had clearly lived a traumatic life but the guys really helped strengthen her.

The guys were all perfect in their own way but I’m pretty sure Daddy Vik is my favourite with his growly commands and strong love. Then we have sweet, cinnamon roll Rafe coming in second. I’d definitely want Rafe if I was feeling hungry or poorly, he’s so caring behind the sexy! Wolfe is a little troublemaker but he he had a soft side just for Ana which I think helped balance out growly Vik and tender Rafe.

I enjoyed the suspense playing out throughout the book. It wasn’t the main focus of the story but they mentioned it enough to keep everything on edge. I appreciated the way it was resolved but I hope at some point we get a story about a certain couple who were right in the middle of the drama.

Overall this was a very sweet but very spicy omegaverse and I highly recommend it! It featured some violence and heavier subjects but it was also incredibly heart-warming. Melody’s book is the next story up in the TOE world and I cannot wait to see what Jillian has in store for her!!

DNF at 54% after Anastasia's abusive mafia father

Honestly, I just wasn't a fan of all of the characters and their relationship. The Alpha Vik was rather obnoxiously dominant, and the way he treated the love of his life was off-putting to me. Anastasia was a little too woe-is-me for my taste. The other two men weren't really memorable and humored Vik's terrible manners too much. Overall, there wasn't really much deep character development, and we were told everything instead of shown.

Between the cast and the mafia-based plot, which already wasn't really my cup of tea, I personally didn't have any interest in finishing the book.

It's another blue eyed blond woman. Sigh

Wolf is my kind of crazy.
Vik was every thing I hoped for. I wish he woulda snatched up Ana and spanked her ass raw for canceling her phone and avoiding his calls. Listen woman you heard him tell you he was gonna handle all your problems then you act like a ditzy chick when you find out he left to HANDLE YOU'RE SHIT? GET ON YO KNEES AND THANK THAT MAN

Rafe didn't have as much personality as the others. I just like crazy. He wasn't bad but not to the level of the others.

Omg so much to unpack here. So this is my first series with this author And I am absolutely obsessed! I think that Jillian may be my new favorite omegaverse author. I absolutely loved everything about the first book in the series and I like the dark twist that I got from the second book. Absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to dive into her other books very soon. There was so much spice that I need a cold shower. 🥵 🥵 🥵 🥵 🥵

This is merely for my reference.

I chose to try to read this despite being *thoroughly* informed by the author that this book includes things I don’t really enjoy reading (specifically Daddy kink & sadism). But I love West’s writing so much I thought I’d give it a whirl. Unfortunately, those are still hard limits for me.

This is 110% on *me*.

NOT THE AUTHOR.

I will continue to read this series and West’s writing.

Hot hot hot but sweet omegaverse. 🔥

I absolutely loved Viktor when we met him in A Pack for Christmas and got so excited when Jillian said she's writing his and Anastasias story! Whilst Ana wasn't very likeable in the first book in the series, her side and reasons become very clear in this book and justify her behaviour.

I thought Viktor would continue to be my favourite, but Wolfe with his golden retriever vibes and utterly filthy mouth quickly won me over. Cas/Rafe was a fun third pack member, but I didn't connect with him and didn't really get a clear picture of his personality, sadly.

Ana was a fun fmc. Good balance between the brattiness, the hurt from her past, the want of the guys and finding herself amidst the change.

The spice was spicy and I'm here for it. Vik and his Daddy Dom vibes were everything. This was heavy on the kink and sign me up for more? Please daddy? 🙏😇

Whilst not my favourite of Jillians books (she has some amazing ones!), I did enjoy this a lot, and I'm really looking forward to upcoming books in this series!

(I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review).

I have been waiting for Anastasia to get her own story and “Damaged Princess” does not disappoint!

Anastasia is the omega from book one who is revealed to have been at the Lodge for nefarious reasons. Once this is made public, we really don’t see much of her for the rest of the book. Unbeknownst to us, Anastasia is actually working to assuage herself of the guilt of trying to sabotage Evie and her pack.

In “Damaged Princess” we learn more about who set Anastasia up and why. Anastasia, despite being a pretty omega, has not had a forgiving childhood. She has suffered through a lot and has trauma that she has to work through. As part of the Lodge series, the themes might be heavy but the angst is low. I found that the alphas paired with Anastasia were her perfect matches. They pushed her buttons, didn’t put up with any of her crap, and challenged her to be a better person. I absolutely loved their dynamic and, as a pack, they made sense.

If you enjoyed the first Lodge story then you’re going to love this one!

Lfmao. I found the dialogue from the men goofy AF and way over the top for me.

What drove me nuts the most was that nearly every chapter had a flash back scene in the middle of it that lasted a couple pages and every time we came back to the present I was confused. The back and forth mid chapter was disorienting and pulled me out of the story constantly.

Cute and low angst, even though it says this is more like a longer novella it reads more like a full me length- just very little background for the MMCs and most of the story is on the FMCs past. Liked the characters and the less bro-y pack dynamic. The heat felt underwhelming once it came to fruition (since it wasn’t a “normal one”) and I expected the spice to be a bit more adventurous given the kinks of the guys, but there is still plenty of it. Just a little slow to start (and the flashbacks felt intrusively placed) but enjoyed it overall/ low angst and spicy and sweet.

What to expect
-heroine in danger
-heroine redemption arc (if you read book 1)
- sadist alpha, cinnamon alpha, daddy dom alpha
-mild spanking, nesting, heat spikes, group scenes and solo scenes
-formerly rich, pampered omega with some sass but also a lot of vulnerability
-grovel and excellent courting gifts
-some danger
-dangerous alphas soft for her

Ana is the daughter of a very bad man, sent to the Lodge to wither seduce its owners or cause enough trouble to force them to sell. When she ultimately fails at her task she finds herself disowned, working a minimum wage job, and at the mercy of the very pack she was sent to seduce.

After a surprise heat spent with an Alpha she thought wanted her, the man disappeared. Stuck behind at the Lodge with the rest of his pack, Ana finds herself depressed and dealing poorly with the rejection. Until Vik reappears after a month with no word.

This one is super steamy with psycho ex-military Alphas, an ex-mafia princess, and random heat spikes. Check content warnings in author note, because these boys are bad and a little bit taboo.

This story is a Standalone but also takes place right after A Pack For Christmas. It is not necessary to read A Pack For Christmas before reading this book to understand what is going on. It has flashbacks to previous events and you can get the just of what happened in the first book.

I was right. I loved Anastasia's book. She has been through so much and I kind of hated Viktor for going of like that without any explanation even though he had a good reason. Didn't get as much groveling as I wanted but it's good that he suffered and that he was the last one to bond. He deserved it. Rafe is so sweet but so hot when he becomes bossy. Wolfe is absolutely possessive and and alpha. The BDSM and daddy kink and the smut was off the charts. It was amazing to get cameos from Evie and bet pack. I liked the plot as well. Obviously loved the epilogues.

Changing this from 2⭐ to 1⭐ because it really was atrocious.

The first book in this series was ok and I usually don't mind this author bit this has NO character development, NO plot and terrible sex. And sex was pretty much all the was here.

And where was the Daddy behaviour from Vik (whose description could not have been less attractive (fluffy beard?). And Wolfe? Where was all that darkness and sadism? Week it was nowhere apparently.

Too much flashbacks to try and tell the story and it failed. Epically.

Disappointing

The more I read Jillian’s books, the more I fall in love with broody, swoony, Alpha males.

Damaged Princess was the redemption I needed for Ana. We meet Ana in “A Pack for Christmas.” In this novel, readers are shown a side of Ana that makes her seem arrogant, rich, and privileged. However, in “Damaged Princess,” we see the truth behind her facade.

Anatasia came from a world of greed, reflecting her early personality. We soon discover that her life was not sunshine and rainbows but something truly dark. Luckily for her, she is saved and whisked away by three moody and murdery alphas.
✨Daddy Vik
🔥Rafe The Nerdy and Sweet One
✨Wolfe The Sadist

To say Ana’s life is about to get interesting is an understatement!

I absolutely adored this book. Like all of Jillian’s Omegaverses, “Damanged Princess” was filled with hurt, comfort, and character development. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this new side of Ana and seeing the way each of her men learn to share😂 Vik definitely doesn’t play well with others. I love the way Jillian is able to make you fall in love with every character she writes, even if they are unhinged (Cough… Wolfe…Cough…Murphy… Cough…Vik). I also want to mention that the cameos were 10/10! I loved seeing Everly and her pack, as well as some men we meet later on in her books 👀

Overall, this is another 5-star read from the amazing Jillian West!

The first book in this sweet omegaverse series (A Pack for Christmas) was low angst and all vibes, with a relatively simple storyline (until the end).

This book is still all vibes and high steam, but kind of the mafia(lite) soap opera edition, complete with:

- A bitchy, spoiled princess FMC who has learnt to look out for herself because no one else will
- Two psycho MMCs who want to commit lots of murder to protect the FMC + one cinnamon roll, caregiver MMC to balance it out
- Minimal plot about the very bad men who are after the MMC - it’s basically seasoning, not a key ingredient in this recipe

LOVED IT.

Not a standalone

If you read and enjoyed the first book then ignore this review. My rating is based on the not so standalone factor, not the quality of the writing. I didn't like the premise of the first book, so I skipped it. The author states this can be read as a standalone, but it definitely can't. There is SO much missing context and back story. Flipping between past and present constantly is the authors attempt at giving you the information you missed, but it just doesn't work. It's like not watching season 1 of a show and missing ALL the world building and character development and then skipping straight to season 2 with no idea what's going on. If you didn't want to read the first book then I highly recommend to skip the second.

DNF at 84%

This was a no for me… this book literally felt like a 2nd book in a connected series… yes I read book 1 and that’s not what I meant bc book 1 is another person. This book literally felt like there should have been more information.

The flashbacks in the middle of inner dialogue did not work at all. Only works for TV not in the middle of a chapter. Sure, make it a separate chapter, that’s fine. But this was pretty annoying. I don’t think it helped with the development of the relationships either.

This was kind of worse than insta love… bc at least in insta love you get some kind of relationship development. Here the only development was like 1 flashback per person and I did not like it at all

Tw/Cw:

Side dishes:
💚 Everly - Anastasia's boss
💚 Dimitri - pack Frasier - horrible man, Ava's dad wants her part of his pack. Ava's dad's second in command.

* Anastasia is supposed to be going to an Exchange mixer, but is upset and doesn't want to go. She was seeing an Alpha named Viktor but then he abandoned her, Ana thinks he only wanted her for heat sex.
Ana's mom is dead, and her dad kicked her out when she didn't do as she was told, so now she stays with Everly and her pack.

Wolfe is the trouble maker of the pack. He thinks Ana is beautiful, but doesn't want to step on Viks toes. He's part of Viks pack. He knows why Vik left Ana right after her heat, but just realized that she probably thinks he rejected her, when he didn't. He has a breeding kink.
~The idea of breeding your tight little cunt full of my baby turns me the fuck on. Look at my cock. It makes me harder than I've ever been."

Rafe is the sweet shy cinnamon roll of the guys, always caring and trying to protect. He also thinks Ana is beautiful but doesn't want to step on Vik just like Wolfe.
~"Watch as I slide inside you bare. Damn, Ana, I've never felt anything like this before. Rub your clit for me while I pound into you. God, I love the way your tits bounce." I'm a rambling fucking mess.

Viktor is the Daddy Dom of the group, he likes to control, and care for Ana. He didn't reject or abandon Ava, he left to deal with a big problem that was putting Ava at risk. He didn't tell her. So now he gets to grovel.
~"But how about this? If anyone questions you about anything from here on out then you direct them to me. It's that simple."
"Because you'll be my Dom?" she asks. Her chest heaves with each rapid breath. "Do I have to call you 'Sir'?”
"Oh, sweet girl," "I'd much prefer for you to call me 'Daddy'."

Ana is upset thinking she's been rejected by Viktor, so her friend Evie says that she should put some real effort into meeting a pack and that she bet that if Ana went on an actual date, Vik would magically appear within days.
So she does, and who shows up? Vik, Rage and Wolfe.
~That's why it's so off- putting when I suddenly have the urge to remove Chance's hands from his body. He can have them back. I'm sure a good surgeon could reattach them under the proper circumstances. As long as they never touch Ana again, he can even keep them.

Wow, this was a great addition to Jillian West’s The Omega Exchange series. I believe the first book (A Pack for Christmas) should be read first to fully appreciate the story. There are quite a few flashbacks within the chapters to scenes that occurred during the first book’s timeline. They really added more context to the characters’ relationships but I almost felt like this book should have taken place in the same timeline as the first.

Ana redeems herself in this book though. She was really a “mean girl” in the first book but we find out why here. Ana is strong, self assured, and snarky. I like that she was submissive but she still spoke her mind.

The guys were great - I think Wolfe ended up being my favorite. Wolfe is a self proclaimed sadist but also light and funny. Daddy Vik is the strong and dominant type. Rafe is sweet and a little bit shy. You get it all with these three. The spice is hot, steamy and has all the kinks! 🔥

There is an element of danger due to Ana’s past with her dangerous and threatening father. This did add some action to the book but overall, it was a very light and fluffy read as Jillian West promised! I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next! Thank you for the ARC!

We first meet Ana in ‘A Pack For Christmas’ - she plays the classic bad girl. Sent to spy and manipulate for her father. Little did we know it wasn’t what she wanted, that her choices were under duress. Now we get to see her in a whole new light - vulnerable and open to new things.

This book is fast burn and hot hot hot. With dominant alphas who have a mix of kinks - a daddy who likes to give out sp@nkings, one that likes light BDSM, some filthy talk in and outside of the bedroom.. it was so so good.

I loved how unique each relationship Ana had with her potential pack - Vik, Wolfe, and Rafe. They weren’t always the most cohesive group of men but Ana was able to bring them together. Mainly in the bedroom - wink wink - we spend a lot of time deal with Ana’s heat due to her coming off suppressants

This book had me blushing and fanning my face at times..

"Would you f**k me while I was asleep?"

Other times I was giggling like a girl with her first crush..

“She's absolutely beautiful, and I'm finally making her mine.”

If you love omegaverse this book is for you!! Full of knotting, nesting, scenting, group scenes, and bonding.

This author has very quickly jumped up my list of favourite omegaverse authors. There's a really good amount of spice, romance, love, sexual tension, and so much naughtiness. I loved it all.

There's a great blend of character personalities; I loved the mix of Ana being a brat whilst also showing her emotions and sweetness, Daddy Vik can tell me off any day, and Rafe is so sweet.
But Wolfe, oh Wolfe, he is nice, sweet, kind, and adorable... and also, a little unhinged. And for some unknown reason, I'm good with that! Even his dirty talk is a little out there, and yet I ate that up. He is most definitely my favourite character in this book.

It's also totally possible that I adore the damsel in distress trope.

This was a very hot but very sweet omegaverse! We met our omega and her alphas in A Pack for Christmas.
Although I was not a fan of Anastasia in that one we learn her reasoning behind her bitchy ways. And realize she wants to be loved. Wants real love.
I love me some Viktor ❤️❤️ but let me tell you about Wolfe 🥵🥵🥵 oh goodness I need me one please. And Rafe, sweet Rafe.
This is definitely a book you need to read! Even though it’s a stand alone, I would suggest reading A Pack for Christmas first!

Spicy AF. I liked this way more than I thought I would. Based on how Anastasia acted in the first book and the description, I thought I would hate her. I did not at all. The intermingling of the flashbacks and with the present day story worked very well for me. I liked these Alphas and how they stepped up for Ana.

Gilded Princess?

Anastasia was send to The Exchange for nefarious reasons and luckily found herself at the hands of a stern Daddy Dom who prevented her plans. We got to briefly meet Anastasia in 'A Pack for Christmas' (yes run and read that if you haven't) and it seemed like she was a bit of a villain. However, in 'Damaged Princess' we get to learn her story and OMG she deserves all the HEA that's coming her way. Anastasia, Vik, Wolfe & Rafe have to overcome some hurdles to trust while feeling out their potential pack situation. Add in some humorous scenarios and this makes for an amazing add on to the world of 'The Exchange'. Let's not forget Jillian West seems to have a gift with writing her alphas to be possessive, a bit obsessed with breeding (delicious), while absolutely caring and actually kinda sweet in the naughtiest and steamiest of ways. Can't wait for future books in this series.
