My Mismatched Mountain Men of Caribou Holidays Book 1
A Small Town Mountain Man Romance
Two years ago, my prolific matchmaking career came to a screeching halt when my marriage imploded in a very public way. Though my heart was crushed, my passion for helping people find their true loves never died. Which is why I planned a matchmaking comeback event in my hometown. The holiday-themed event went better than I could’ve anticipated. Except for one small snag.
One of the bachelors didn’t show up until the event was over.
When he learned that I’d found his original match someone else in his absence, he was devasted. Which is why I was determined to make things right.
Until I find out he lied about his identity. Dustin Wilde failed to mention that he’s a secret billionaire and heir to a massive fortune. He’s also in desperate need of a wife by Valentine’s Day. Though I’d love nothing more than to feed him to a bear, the publicity he offers in exchange for this impossible task promises to drown out the bad press threatening to tank my comeback.
There’s only one problem, and it’s a big I think I’m falling for him.
Falling for one of my clients would be the end of my career. It’s the one cardinal rule I can’t break. But can I live with watching him marry someone else?
Welcome to Caribou Creek, Alaska. Secluded small town living in the heart of the mountains is not for the faint of heart. But to those who call it home, they can’t imagine being anywhere else. Love runs a little deeper in these parts. It must be something in the water, because the men who’ve sworn to live solitary lives are unable to resist the women who upend their best laid plans and capture their hearts.
This is a sweet & steamy instalove romance with a mountain man and curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.

REVIEW Now listen carefully. You need this book. This Valentine’s Day, the next Valentine’s Day, or just whenever, honestly.
Somehow I’ve been lucky enough to read two novellas, back to back, that were solid 5-star reads. And novellas seldom reach 5-star level for me.
If I’m being honest, I was a bit hesitant to pick up this arc after reading the blurb. But my god am I glad I gave it a shot. (I couldn’t help myself with a cover that fucking pretty!)
It was a delight to follow Dustin and Maggie on the journey to love. I sure have a thing for stories when the hero has to pursue the heroine and, you know, work for it. And Dustin did not disappoint. Maggie was also such a fantastic character. Smart, independent, kick-ass. And to see Dustin tear down the walls around her heart, one by one, was truly amazing.
Kali Hart is an author who 100% knows how to make an instalove story realistic and beautiful. And I cannot wait to read more of her books. Caribou Creek seems like a lovely place, so it’s gonna be fun to go back there for another visit or two.
If you’re looking for a short story about a caring billionaire hero who works his butt off to get the strong and kick-ass heroine to fall for him as hard as he has fallen for her, then this is the book for you. Especially if you like the whole small-town vibe. (It bears repeating: Caribou Creek seems lovely.)

My Mismatched Valentine is the first book in the new spin-off series Mountain Men of Caribou Creek: Holidays. I absolutely loved this story about Maggie Parsons and Dustin Wilde. She has been hiding out in her home town of Caribou Creek for a while. Maggie had moved to LA years ago and started a successful match-making business where she matched the stars, VIPs, business moguls and more. That is until it all fell apart when her husband left her. But being back in Caribou Creek has meant others getting in her business while also lending support. One thing that did happen was she decided to do a Valentine's weekend match-making event at The Caribou Creek Lodge. There were only seven couples but things went wrong the first evening when bachelor number seven did not show up and she could not reach him. That bachelorette's story is in My Sweetart Holidate. So when the missing bachelor finally shows up on the last morning things get a bit strange. The other thing is that the bachelor in question turns out to not be who he said he was. This means Maggie's comeback event could blow-up completely. But as it turns out her comeback is perfect as she is the perfect match for Dustin, but will she let herself find the love she deserves. Dustin went to great lengths to find Maggie after meeting her two years ago in LA, on the night her husband left her ans she was drowning her sorrows at a bar. Dustin knew immediately that she was the one for him but he had to wait to make it happen. For him though the time is running out and he has one chance to make it happen, and be able to get his inheritance and his bride.
I loved this book and getting Maggie and Dustin's story was fantastic. She may have mismatched him but she finds his perfect match, if she stops fighting it that is. I am so looking forward to reading this series.
This book is about Maggie and Dustin. She was making a comeback for a Valentine’s-themed matchmaking event. He didn’t turn up for a dinner at the previous event so Maggie got her brother Kash to fill in for him, and he actually found his true love match in Charlotte in the process (who was meant to be matched with Dustin). But then Dustin, crashed the private breakfast function thrown on the last morning of the event and trouble was brewing, on many levels.
Maggie did however feel bad for Dustin and the circumstances which led to him being unable to attend her event. She could admit he was gorgeous, but he’d omitted some pertinent information about who he is, and his nett worth. So she had mixed feelings about the entire situation. He’s actually been dreaming about her for two years, so there’s a history of-sorts there too. But it seems she can’t recall anything. And he needs a huge favour form her, which impacts on his family’s company and his fortune. Will she be amenable to what he has to offer?
There’s a little bit of drama and miscommunication, lots of laughs and sighs and groans, some sweetness and some heated passion. The characters in Caribou Creek are always likeable, and I find myself looking forward to reading more about them all. I give this book four and a quarter stars.

Maggie Parsons, a well-known matchmaker, lost her career when her own marriage ended. But she could not give up on helping others find love. So two years later, she set up a “comeback” Valentine’s Day event. This one would make-or-break her renewed career. She had a good turnout of people and the event was successful except for a last-minute matchup when one of the men didn’t show up.
Dustin Williams arrived after the big event was all over. He was upset that she matched the woman, who would have been his, with someone else. So she was determined to help him. But something about him seemed familiar and she went through her records and turned to the internet. She discovered Dustin Wilde — not “Williams” as he wrote on his application — is a very wealthy man who needs a wife by Valentine’s Day or he can lose control of his company! But his offer of positive publicity if she can make this happen kept her from releasing her anger. She was unaware that he had already chosen his own match when he had met her previously as a client. Would he tell her the truth? Or would she tell him she was falling for him and did not want to see him marry someone else?
This was a good story line with terrific characters. Grab your copy and find out who Dustin will be marrying. I’ll save you a seat at their wedding!
Dustin and Maggie met two years ago in LA, and he fell for her instantly, but she had just filed for divorce and was in a bad place emotionally so he left her telling her if they were meant to meet each other again, they would. She moved home to Alaska where she reopened her matchmaking business. He needed a love match wife in four days to keep his father's company so he hired her to find him one, but what he really wanted was her. The hoops he jumped through to counter the dates she set up for him were above and beyond by his assistant. One date he attended with several women present was rather original being a puppy petting party to socialize a litter of puppies sounded like so much fun and a real ice breaker. It was interesting that one date he could not intercept before the time of his date actually stood him up. Maggie had a cat that normally did not like men, but Dustin was the cat's new bestfriend. A delightfully entertaining anytime story you want a pick me up with some excitement.

I loved My Mismatched Valentine: A Small Town Mountain Man Romance Book 1 of Mountain Men of Caribou Creek: Holidays. I was waiting fie this story after reading the prior one with her brother Kash. I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I had first read about Maggie in other Caribou Creek books. It was great to see her get her happy ending, even if she fought it to the very end. She and Dustin share a brief moment in history. It was one that she pushed aside with painful memories and one that he's never been able to forget. Their story has some pain, conflict and denial that coincides with humor, surprises, chemistry and love. There's never a doubt about the sparks they feel. I enjoyed their story and all of the characters. Glamma, Grandma and the moon phases brought so many smiles. I wish that their story was longer, but it was still a really good one. I'm looking forward to reading about Stormin Norman coming home
Maggie's matchmaking event took a turn for the worse, when a reporter picked up on the mistake. She replaced one of the bachelors when he did no show up, now that he is there, she realizes who he actually is.
Dustin remembered Maggie from several years ago, knowing then was not his time, he waited and tried to "bump" into her. When that did not work, he signed up for her event, just to see her again and in hope she will help him with a problem he has - he needs to get married by Valentines Day.
This is a great story, love the characters and the twist as Dustin wins Maggie's heart. Glamma is an amazing character that brings a smile to my face.

I absolutely loved this romance. Dustin Wilde has to be married by Valentine's day in order to have control of his company. He has come to Caribou Creek because there is only one woman for him and that is Maggie Parsons. Maggie has a matchmaker service but Dustin met her two years ago and fell in love. He does not want her matchmaking services but if it gets him closer to her he will take it. This is such a great read, these two are off the charts hot and Dustin is so madly in love with Maggie. If only Maggie will let him love her. Fast paced and steamy and one of the best reads ever. Loved it.

What a fantastic story. We were introduced to Maggie & Dustin in Kali Hart’s previous story, My Sweetart Holidate. We all remember the story where Christine‘s date didn’t show up, and Maggie convinced her brother to step in, only for Dustin to show up for the last date. Now, Maggie insists that she has to find Dustin a date who needs to be his wife. What Maggie doesn’t know, is that Dustin met her two years ago when she had filed for divorce. Now he has come for her to make her his wife. Will these to finally get together or will Maggie continue to hold a grudge?.

All the Hearts for Heading Back to Caribou Creek! Kali Hart is taking us back to Caribou Creek, Alaska with her new Mountain Men of Caribou Creek Holiday series of contemporary romance novellas. “My Mismatched Valentine” features billionaire Dustin and matchmaker Maggie, and let me tell you, those two are absolute fire together. Their chemistry is amazing, and Dustin inspires so many awww moments. The grandmas in this series provide endless giggles, and the sexy bits are…oh my goodness! Super excited to venture back to Caribou Creek, and if the hints in the last chapter are any indication< the next book should be just as amazing.
I found Maggie and Dustin's story so enjoyable. Maggie is matchmaker who is trying to give her business new life after her own failed marriage has affected her business lately. Dustin is a client who did not show up on the day of her big event due to flight delays. Dustin also has a reason behind why he really signed up for her matchmaker event. Turns out they met a couple of years ago when Maggie was blindsided by what happened with her then husband. Dustin is in need of a wife and feels Maggie would be the perfect one for him. This is a great read with a great HEA.
Maggie and Dustin met in LA and he fell instantly in love with her but she was still dealing with divorce. A couple of years have passed and she's trying to restart her matchmaking career and he needs a wife before Valentine's Day to keep the family company. I loved that this book is tied to My Sweetart Holidate and it continues the storyline of the guy that was late to meet his match. That twist made Dustin and Maggie getting their happily ever after that much sweeter. Great writing, believable characters, and a mismatched Valentine made this a great start to the Mountain Men of Caribou Creek series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Hoping to jar her memory Dustin pretends to be someone else. He has a time frame he must meet to keep the family business but when he is caught Maggie calls off their wedding. This is the first book in the Mountain Men of Caribou Creek: Holidays series. I think this is a wonderful story with a lot of emotions. The characters Dustin and Maggie already have a history together but unfortunately she can't remember it, but Dustin can and does everything he can to help her remember because she is the one for him and he doesn't want to lose her. The chemistry and attraction between them splashes off the book. I enjoyed reading their story.

Maggie is living in her hometown after having to close up her matchmaking business in the city after a unfavorable story ran in the paper. Dustin has come to use Maggie’s matchmaking services because he needs a wife by Feb. 14th. Of course, Dustin has ulterior motives. What happens when Maggie finds out? The story is about a matchmaker who can’t see what is right in front of her. It is a sweet, funny, kissable, love story! I enjoyed the story - it had a sweet and tenderhearted twist.

Divorcee Maggie (h) moves to her Alaskan hometown to rebuild her matchmaking career, but things seem sidetracked by one of the bachelors, Dustin (H). He hasn’t been entirely honest with Maggie about his identity and his need to be married and in love by Valentine’s day, just days away. Maggie struggles with her attraction to Dustin, even as he keeps trying to convince her to be the one to marry him. A sweet Valentine’s Day romance with a side of heat – love Karl and the Grandmas.
This was a really cute small town romance. The story was connected to “My Sweetart Holidate” but each story was a standalone. I liked that I had read “My Sweetart Holidate” because then I already felt that I knew Maggie. She and Dustin had great chemistry and I loved all the stops he had to pull to make her act on their mutual attraction. I really enjoyed the story.

The very rich hero Dustin is on a deadline to get married so he hires the matchmaker he’s in love with to try to convince her to do the job herself. Maggie doesn’t remember meeting Dustin two years prior but she’s determined to find him a bride despite the attraction she feels towards him.
This story was a fun, sweet and romantic read with both cute and steamy moments and a judgy cat named Karl.

This is a well written, fast paced story with strong characters in Maggie and Dustin. He's loved her for the past two years but she doesn't remember him. He's determined to win her over .. at all costs. It's a steamy story with perfectly painted scenes, moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable read.

What happens when the matchmaker can’t find her client a match. Wonderful short novella, loved that this starts off where the previous series ended. Great characters with off the charts chemistry and loved all the steamy action that just couldn’t be denied. Fantastic read as all the truth comes out, and feelings are on full display, as love matters more than money to this Perfectly Matched couple.
