Love in the Wings was a fun, yet emotional read. This book contains everything I love, community, mystery and romance. The characters are so relatable, I found myself rooting for Harriet as I took the journey with her, especially the tears, get some tissues ready, you are going to need them if you’re like me.

Liam, is the Assistant Stage Manager , I loved the pure chemistry between them. Liam was just gorgeous, so adorable and I loved his vulnerability and intelligence. The story is wonderful, and I loved the tension and almost nail-biting moments. Love in the Wings is a well written and engaging story that is full of heart, a little bit of heat, humour and a beautiful tale of people coming together over grief.

Its a fantastic read that had me thoroughly addicted from start to end, one I can wholeheartedly recommend.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is beautiful in so many ways.

It won't take you long to immerse yourself in the world of the theatre, Ellie gets this spot on. I adored the musical references, as a huge Six fan I truly felt like I was Harriet.

There are a lot of obstacles to Liam and Harriet's love story and some really sensitive topics, which have been handled so beautifully.

Finally though...the spice. Oh wow Liam Wright!

Love in The Wings sounded just fabulous to me. It is a story to lighten my day. Ellie White isn't an author, I know, but I am always on the lookout for new authors, so that didn't deter me.

Harriet is back home in Sunderland, after everything falling apart in London. She finds herself with a part in a show and is desperate to prove herself. No man, in fact, no one is going to stop her until she meets Liam, the assistant stage manager. He is the man for her. Liam has a secret that could derail everything, but will it?

Harriet and Liam were both characters I instantly loved. I rooted for them all the way. The fact that it was set in a musical theatre setting just took me back to before our son was impacted by his autism and mental health. He performed in Musical Theatre quite frequently, and Ellie White gave me that feeling again as I read Harriet and Liams story.

It's a book that can make you laugh, but it's not all sweetness. There are sensitive topics that are handled well, and along with the romance, there is some spice to go with it. I was fully invested in Harriet and Liam and hoped they could get through everything unscathed.

Love In The Wings was such an addictive read. I didn't want to leave everyone behind as I finished reading. I would totally recommend this fantastic read to anyone! Thanks to Rachel's Random Resources and Ellie White for the gifted ebook to write my honest review.

Thank you so much to Ellie for this e-arc. My review is honest.

I devoured this!!!

After reading Love In London, I was so excited for Ellie's next book. I had a small taste of her writing from Twisted Tropes, but I needed more. and Love in The Wings hit the mark.

Harriet and Liam are two characters you just want to squeeze tightly and tell them it's all going to be ok. Straight off the bat, you can tell they have chemistry - from the minute they bump into each other.

I'm not normally one that enjoys the whole 'love at first sight' trope, but I enjoyed it in this novel. Ellie has written two characters with depth, making them feel like real people with real problems. Their friendship developed beautiful, bonding over their love of theatre and their pasts. They clearly have instant attraction and it blossoms into a friendship and then more.

Was is it a cliche love story? Yes. Does that bother me? Nope. I loved this so much and I would reread it easily enough.

I also couldn't help but love the fact that it was set in a theatre. I ADORE theatre, although I do not know much about behind the curtain, so I loved the setting of this novel.

Would highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves a sweet, easy to read romance.

Love In The Wings is a musical theatre romance starring Harriet Adams, who has just moved back home to Sunderland, after a lapse of judgement, lost her her dream job in the West End
She's given a second chance to continue in a job she loves and is now playing a part in a new musical in her hometown.
She's determined to not let anything get in her way.. That is until she meets Assistant Stage Manager Liam Wright, and he has his own secret!

❤️

I found Love In The Wings such a fun read, and I really loved the musical theatre setting and references.
I absolutely love Ellies writing - her books have such real, lovable characters, with the perfect balance of being an easy read, but that does also cover more serious topics throughout.

The connection between Harriet and Liam was instant but so believable.
I loved how the friendship between them grew, and despite knowing they should keep apart, the romance between them was inevitable - which also leads to a couple of super steamy chapters!

Thank you, Ellie White, for allowing me to read an early copy of Love In The Wings, which will be released on 28th April!
I highly recommend it for a super sweet, easy romance read!

I fell in love with both Harriett and Liam almost instantly and was desperate for them to get together!
Harriett is just a sweetheart, super talented, very down to earth and I’d love to have her as my best friend. She’s excited to be part of this show in her home town but also fighting sadness as her dads health deteriorates, and worry over the circumstances in which she left her last job in London.
Liam … Liam is just everything. Sexy, clever, vulnerable, loving. Having lost his mum, and suffering a turbulent relationship with his father, he’s found himself almost trapped and seeking approval that never comes. Little does he know the changes Harriett will bring to his life.
Their story is heart warming, humorous, romantic and steamy! You’ll be absolutely rooting for them throughout this story with its wonderful show, friends, family and fond theatre moments.

A definite 5 star read from me.

I will never NOT read a musical theatre romance. I love that this story offered an inside look at not only the inner workings of a musical theatre production, but at the politics, gossip, and personality dynamics that can develop within a company. A few things felt like maybe they weren’t fully researched, but overall, my inner theatre nerd was very happy with the representation.

There were other storylines at play throughout the book, so the theatre stuff was only super for roughly the first third of the book. Besides being about theatre, the story gave us a beautiful love story about two people battling grief and the pressures of reputations as the find and fall in love with one another. There were a few parts that felt a bit cheesy, but overall I really enjoyed this story and will FOREVER advocate for more musical theatre romance books!

Love In The Wings - Ellie White.

What’s not to love about this book?
It’s honestly a joy. If you are a fan of musical theatre, you’ll adore the care that Ellie White has taken with the detail in this book.
If you are a fan of a damn good read, you’ll love this book too.

There is a wonderful mix of characters, that give the story real life and colour.
I took to both Harriet and Liam, and was thoroughly caught up in the sparks that flew between them.

#LoveInTheWings isn’t all light and fluffy. There are more serious subjects in this book that stirred real emotions in me.

Over all, this is a well written, cute, touching and uplifting love story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Harriet is a performer who returns back to her hometown after a scandal that brings her self-confidence to zero.

Liam is an assistant stage manager who is emotionally abused by his father, there is more to this. He is about to quit the production but when their path cross, everything changes or gives them a reason to believe so.

This book was emotional, heartbreaking, filled with love, family, friendship and big leaps. It showed how we try to find similarity with our past which ends up destroying our present and future but it's never too late.

The writing was easy, beautiful and I loved how the author brought to light every important character to this story. Though predictable the setting was different, well written and executed nicely. The epilogue was my favourite.

This showed how to find yourself you take decisions you think are right which cause nothing but pain, so fight for what you deserve and love. I enjoyed every bit of this heartwarming story.

Thank you Rachel's Random Resources for having me on this tour.

I had seen Ellie's name on Bookstagram and first fell in love with her writing when I read the Twisted Tropes anthology. This was my first stand-alone novel of hers, and it did not disappoint.
As a musical theatre lover, I adored the concept of finding love through a musical. It was obvious that Elllie had researched this topic well, but her own love of theatre was also clear. Harriet and Liam were great characters who had sizzling chemistry (the spicy scenes were hot stuff!) I also enjoyed their background stories and the secondary characters. The book had love, heat, pure heart and emotional parts.
I' m sure I'll be picking up more literature by Ellie White in the future.

Love in The Wings by Ellie White is an absolute must-read for anyone who loves musical theatre. As a big fan of musicals, I was thrilled with how well the book caught the excitement and passion that comes with being involved in a big production. The research and attention to detail were fantastic, making it feel like you were right there with the characters in the thick of it.

The characters were so lovely and believable. Harriet Adams, the main character, is a West End performer who's fallen from grace after a mistake cost her everything she worked so hard for. Her journey back to success was heartwarming and inspiring, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way. And her family setup is so heartbreaking - tears were shed!!

And then there's Liam Wright, the Assistant Stage Manager who steals Harriet's heart. Their chemistry was off the charts, and I was completely invested in their relationship from the moment they met. But of course, as with any good romance novel, there are obstacles in the way. Liam has a secret that could ruin everything... And nearly does! There were lots of nail-biting moments towards the end.

Overall, Love in The Wings was a fantastic read that had me hooked from beginning to end. There was plenty of heat, heart, and love to keep me turning the pages, and the musical theatre connection was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance, especially if you're a fan of the theatre.

super super super cute I absolutely loved this!!

I love finding 1) new authors and 2) romance books with unique tropes. Ellie’s writing is so easy to read and it reads so quick, I adored it. Assistant stage manager x actress??? So so so good.

The connection between Liam and Harriet was a little insta-lusty and although I wish it was a tiny bit more of a slow burn, I absolutely ate up the forbidden trope in this!! There was a sexy mic fitting, making social media content together but having to hide their attraction, brushing hands in the small backstage corridors…I DIE!!

You really get to know the characters on a deeper level and this book is not only light and fluffy (and spicy) but also looks at some pretty emotional topics, which are handled in a nuanced and sensitive way.

I think part of this books charm is that it’s set in Sunderland, it’s so nice to have a romance book in the UK. Although the theatre in the book is fictional, you can tell that Ellie actually went to a theatre in Sunderland and learnt everything there was to know - from ghost stories to the layout.

I LOVE the love declaration and how everything was resolved, as well as the found family within the friendship group too.

Overall so much fun and I feel like it would hit DIFFERENT in the summer, it’s got such a fun sunny vibe. LOVE, highly recommend

Is it any shock that I absolutely loved this book. Romances are my favourite, combine that with my love of theatre and you're onto a winner. I really loved just how stagey this book was, you can tell straight away how much the author loves theatre and it radiates throughout the book. I did appreciate the Aaron Tviet mention (Moulin Rouge is my favourite!) and it just gave me a good chuckle when I read it. Something I was not expecting to happen but thoroughly enjoyed was some particularly sexy moments. For some reason I just didn't expect this book to have this but it did! I absolutely flew through this book and I was obsessed with all the characters. Overall, if you love both romance books and theatre you are guaranteed a winner in this book. Even if you don't know much about theatre, this book does well at explaining what you need to know and the romance is good enough quality to keep you engaged.

Harriet’s bad judgement has made her leave behind her life in the west end and move back to Sunderland, but wanting to keep her eyes on her career she is soon blown away by the Assistant Stage Manager Liam.

This was an easy and enjoyable read with relatable characters who were well-written and had me cheering for Harriet from the start. White explores different themes throughout this novel, including sensitive subjects which are handled very well. I found this novel funny in places but also heartwarming and is one I would highly recommend.

Well its fair to say that I fell in love with Harriet- especially after she announces that her favourite musical is Six!

The chemistry of these pair just beams off the page and I was rooting for them from the start.

A good backstory and complex family issues made this a well rounded read.

Great fun, perfect amount of steam, and loved the off stage drama!

This romance sparkles under the spotlight.

Such a fabulous romance by Ellie White! It really did have it all!
I was lucky enough to receive and ARC after reading Love in London and this book was even better.
Harriet is a heroine you can truly root for and Liam is totally swoon-worthy! The chemistry between them is off the charts and I found myself turning each page quicker than the last just to see them get their HEA.
Highly recommend this book!
