This adventure continues in this spectacularly imaginative fantasy world by Waterstones prize-shortlisted author Anna Kemp.
It is often hard to follow up a brilliant first book, but this second instalment kept me engaged throughout with beautifully lyrical writing once again. I can’t wait to see how the third book will conclude this series - I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone with children and any adults who want to dive into a land they can believe in.
A gripping, magical adventure! The Goblyn Wood adventure continues in this beautifully written book. Anna Kemp has created a fascinating, rich and detailed faery world full of intriguing characters, magical places and a gripping story. My nine-year old niece and I were both instantly hooked and can't wait to find out what happens next for Hazel Quince and friends.
So it was a cliffhanger but the last sentence made me think.Because the last sentence in the book was Then, with her two friends gripping tightly, Hazel thundered down the side of the barrow, following the flight of the eagle, towards the first light of dawn. Pretty cliffhangers right? Okay.... bye! 😙
I might have made a mistake BC I kinda bought the 2nd book Instead of the first one, but, still I didn't really like the book it was REALLY boring and to much Fantasy for me so yeah....
