A murderer is on the loose… hunting their victims one by one. Their bodies mutilated, stabbed, and the body count is only going to grow because this killer is determined to make everyone pay for their sins…
Ten years ago, a murder rocked the small town of Sarasota Bay to its very core, leaving four dead and another badly injured. Now, years later, four young women find themselves paying the consequences of a secret from long ago...
Kidnapped and held hostage inside a dark manor, estranged friends Ashleigh Carlson, Nikki Jenkins, Addison Mickelson, and Sydney Anderson find themselves at the mercy of a sadistic psychopath. Tormented, abused, and escaping within an inch of their lives, they know one thing for sure. He’s still out there, and if he came for them, they would never know. They’d never even seen his face.
Agreeing to go their separate ways, until their captor is caught, Ashleigh soon finds herself alone in Los Angeles dealing with the aftermath of the manor. Not long after, two young women are viscously slaughtered inside their home, the only thing the killer leaving behind being a clown mask… the same clown mask her abductor had worn.
As bodies drop one by one, one viciously slaughtered after another, Ashleigh finds herself turning to Ryan Eisenhower. Quarterback for the UCLA Tigers, and one of the only people she trusts, together they find themselves uncovering secrets from the past, along with a dangerous coverup. But the closer to the truth they get, the more bodies start to drop, and as the first game of the season nears, one thing is clear. The killer is coming for her, and this killer won’t rest until she’s paid for the sins of the past… and her own.

I do look forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out. I thought that the book was well thought out in regards to the storyline, it was well developed. I would recommend this book to people that enjoy thrillers with minor details. This book is tame compared to most of the books that I have read. This was a super quick read and kept me engaged till the end. Ashleigh and her friends were children when a local family was murdered in the middle of the night. Now that they are living their life, they are kidnapped and forced to remember what has been kept from them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was definitely a page-turner right from the beginning. The action never stopped. If you enjoy books where everyone is a suspect and the past has much to answer for, then this is for you. This story had so many twists and turns I got dizzy. I got lost in the who was who and who was where. "The sins of the father are to be laid upon the children" fits this book so well. The only problem I had with the story was the villain's fixation on one person when it involved so many more than just one.
I would like to see where this story can go from here in the next book.

How do I say this? Holy hell! This book was amazing! It was scary and intense and everything you'd want in a thriller! Oh, I almost forgot the killer clown! This book gave me goosebumps, and I actually jumped a couple of times! Every single person was a suspect to me in this story. It was such a well written book. It caught my attention from the start and kept it throughout the book! This is a must read, and should be on Netflix!
Hunted was an exciting book with plenty of action on every page. If you like serial killer thrillers, give this one a try. There's a bit of mystery and lots of thrills to keep you entertained as you read.
