This is the story of an empress who was reborn to avenge her wrongful death her that.Shen Miao, the Di daughter of a military family, was pure, quiet, gentle, and gracious. Because of her foolish love for Prince Ding, she forced her way into becoming his wife. Shen Miao never thought that all of the perils they encountered as husband and wife, all of the assistance they gave each other mutually, were nothing but a joke in his eyes! Once reborn, she returns to the year when she was only fourteen years old, a time when tragedy has not yet befallen, when her family still lived, and when she was still the pure, quiet, gentle, and gracious Di daughter of a military family. But that Xie Family’s young marquis, that tyrannical and arrogant spear-wielding young man on horseback, stays stubbornly on her side and proudly declares, “It is merely toppling the Imperial Family. Do not forget, the world belongs to you, and you—you belong to me!”
Story is pretty good but how it was translated is a bit annoying. The pronoun confusion isn’t as bad here, some terms were explained (repeatedly throughout the book) while others weren’t or explained later on. There are a lot of misspellings though and the snarky comments from the translator and editor would be a bit funny if there weren’t so many errors.
First off, this is not an official translation, but a fan one and probably it can be found on other apps, for free. However, it is the best I have encountered so far, so I'm not sad for paying it. Even though it sometimes messes up the form of the words, the grammar is not bad and one can understand the meaning of things. Secondly, I really enjoyed the translator and editor notes, as well as the story overall. It was a good read. And a long one!
Absolutely loved this book. Devoured it whole pretty quickly by reading it every free moment I could find. Shen Miao is a badass and Xie Jinxing does a good job being both competent himself as well as good support without overshadowing her. I really hope someone makes this into a drama.
might have enjoyed it more if i read it when it came out but for present me, it’s a little old school and some parts triggered me overall the story was nice
