A beautiful true story about a wonderful woman! Angels are part of our lives, always with you. The text is good written, easy to read for people with another language.
A very interesting story, written in not a very interesting way.
I have not read the fist edition of this book, therefore I have not much to compare with. But one thing is for sure - title “A Voice from the Grave” suits this story much better than “A Whisper from an Angel’’. Why? Because Angels have a background role in this.
Although the beginning of the book and cover of this particular edition makes the reader think it is going to explore the relationship that the author has with Angels, the story is all around author‘s involvement in a murder investigation of the young Jacqui Poole. The story is rather amazing but the very repetitious style of author damaged the pace of the book in a noticeable way. Below it is just one of the many examples: I wasn’t angry with Martin though, because I know what it is like to hurt. I went through very deep despairing moments when I could have done the same thing too, so I knew what it was like. I know what it is like to be at the very edge; it only takes one little thing to push you over. I have been there so I understand the despair, the pain, the hurt, the sadness. I know the awful feeling of emptiness. I have been down that road so I do understand.
Do you get it? I wrote it out for you here, so you can get it. So if you read what I wrote above, you will get what I mean. So read if you want to get it. Get it?
Nevertheless, there were also some sweet surprises that will find space in my helpful quotation notebook. Such as: If you work hard on the spiritual side of things and tune into the spiritual side through meditation you will find that you will get the strength to understand any misfortune that might come your way. You will also respect any good luck that comes your way if you want to call it that, but the spirit world has neither good or bad luck; they call it lessons and blessings, and there is a difference.
My final conclusion that the author herself brought me to - it is time to find the Angels in my Hair by Lorna Byrne which initially I thought this book is. Don‘t get me wrong - the story is not a bad one. On the contrary, these things should be brought in the spotlight as people like Christine Holohan embodies a massive help and support for the ones in need. And this is how these people should be seen, not as marginalised weirdos or frauds. I support the recognition of these powers, so the book indeed was OK.
A controversial subject but one cannot deny there are many reasons to believe after reading this book. This true story focuses on the author's involvement in a murder investigation. Christine Holohan uses her remarkable gift to help others including the police, which gives the subject a thumbs up from me. I only gave it 3 stars as I didn't think the story telling particularly engaging.
How she became a bridge between heaven and earth thats it in a nutshell.Christine Holohan tells us exactly how this started for her and what she has done to use her wonderful gift to help others.Missing people ,murders, messages of hope these are some of the ways in which she helps others,However her "gift" can sometimes be a curse that has been more than she can bare at times. For christine her journey has been worth it,The good outway the bad.And when all said and done this truely is a gift.
This is a true story and a real eye opener weather you are a believer or not this book is well worth a read.I personally loved it and i would love to meet christine she must be a very special lady. This book will stay in my collection and i will bet i will read this again and again. the worst part of the book is that it had to end :)
Enjoyable book about communicating with the afterlife. Admired how Christine did whatever was needed to convince the police that what she described was in fact the truth about Jacqui Poole's murder and the way she continued to work with them until Jacqui was finally able to rest in peace. Inspirational record of Christine's spiritual gift.
