First page quote:

Suddenly, I was snapped out of my thoughts of the past when I smelled the most delicious scent. My mate, I thought, glancing around. Still naked, I threw my water down and stalked over to him, my now hard cock slapping up against my stomach. My mate moaned loudly as he grabbed my ass and lifted me up. Wrapping myself around his body, I thrust my dick against his jeancovered cock. I shivered when I felt his hand wander over the crack of my ass, ready to submit to him.
“My mate.” He growled, licking my neck. “What is your name?”
“Trey Donovan.” I panted as he pushed a finger against my hole.
“I need you now, my mate. Claim me as yours.”
“I’m Addison Cambell, little one,” Addison said, squeezing my ass harder. “I have lube in my cruiser.”

The characters meet and right away the dialogue goes like this: “Trey Donovan.” I panted as he pushed a finger against my hole. “I need you now, my mate. Claim me as yours.” “I’m Addison Cambell, little one,” Addison said, squeezing my ass harder. “I have lube in my cruiser.” Wow, that's really romantic and sets a new record even for those insta-love shifter stories.

My Little Kitty is the intrigueing story of Troy, the eldest brother in a saber toothed tiger shifting family. As a shifter with a high sex drive, Troy requires two mates, although finding them is the easy part. What follows next will test everything Trey ever thought he knew about mate bonds and his own happily ever after.

Trey is minding his own business, enjoying the return of his long lost baby brother, when fate steps in and hands him mate number one in the form of Addison. At this point, Trey appears to be a happy-go-lucky, easy to please young man more than eager for his mate. As the story develops, we discover that Trey has hidden depths, keeping long seated issues and emotions within, especially those dealing with the disappearance of his brother over thirty years ago. Giving Trey a true to life job as the writer of gay romance, and writing a small amount about the fallout that can surround such a calling, definitely makes things interesting.

Addison is a wolf shifter and member of the local police force. He first shows himself as ecstatic to have found his mate, although jealousy does shine through when the thought of sharing is broached. Appearances can be deceiving. When it comes to light that Addison is holding a candle for a previous lover, he shows himself to be harsh, selfish and worst of all, dispassionate and heartless towards Trey and Trey's true needs. It isn't until later in the story that this impression shifts and you gain an empathy and understanding for his actions.

As Trey deals with the heartache Addison has left behind, fate once again steps forward and after quite a sweet meet cue, we are introduced to Jasper, mate number two. I love how Joyee has really made me think about maturity levels verses age in this story. When Jasper is first introduced, I get a feel for him as older than his true age of twenty-four. Jasper shows a high level of maturity, along with being a level thinker able to take in a situation at a glance. A horse trainer, Jasper has deep patience, understanding and empathy, all of which help aid him in his dealings when first meeting his mate, Trey.

Although this book can be read on its own, much more enjoyment will be had if read as part of the Purrfect Mates series. Be warned, My Little Kitty is not your typical 'mate meets mate' happily ever after story. There are a lot of misunderstandings, angst and one near-miss attack. A really good read, I'd recommend it for anyone who enjoys Joyee Flynn, other stories in the Purrfect Mates series, menages with three hot men, paranormal or unusual shape-shifter stories written in a contemporary style. This is another great story about a weretiger finding his mates. Trey is Avery's older brother and a writer. He doesn't have an easy time with finding his mates. When he finally does, Addison rejects him and it isn't until the second one, Jasper, finds him that Trey starts to recover. He is still afraid of being rejected, and a crazy stalker is needed to make the three of them realize what's really important in life.

I loved the emotions, the situation of one mate rejecting the other was interesting, and the additional threat added some external spice to the last third of the book. A great story for anyone who likes cats and shifters.

This book was ok I really like Trey and I loved Jasper but Addison not so much. I think it came together in the end but I still kinda wanted Addison to suffer a bit more. I felt that Trey and Jasper let him off the hook a bit too easy.

On one hand I appreciate this wasn't another insta-love mating where everything is bliss and nothing could go wrong. Addison has relationship and emotional hang-ups, things aren't perfect. It's more realistic, I suppose. The problem I had was this is about a relationship between 3 mates and because of how Addison was written, I could get into his character or sympathize with him. Even towards the last few chapters, Trey suspects Addison might have been behind something. There was never that connection between Trey & Addison like there was with Trey & Jasper. And Jasper & Addison? Nothing really there. It felt more like a MM+M (Trey/Jasper with Addison on the side). So, while I sort of liked that things were flawed, Addison was just written in such a way that he seemed like a douche and there wasn't enough time to, IMO, fully redeem him and show that he was sorry and changed. As I mentioned even in the last few chapters there's mistrust on Trey's part when it came to Addison, so things were just moved along too quickly. I'm all for flawed characters, it's just the writer needs to realize we need to, in the end, like/love all of them, not just Trey & Jasper.

The first pairing is together for like a week and Avery decides that he can handle Addisons issue, because of course unless someone is perfect then a mating can't work. And of couse it is all Addison's fault. (Not saying he should be ok with it but the way it's written they were not together long) Avery leaves and finds his "perfect" mate and wants to forget about his other. Everything is womderful in the second mating except somehow Avery's got a hung compex based on his first failed mating. When Addison realizes his mistake no one gives him understanding and it's still all his fault. His mistakes were blown way out of proportion making the reconciliation seem that much more fake.

I guess this was just so horribly written that I ended up feeling more sorry for the "bad" mate than the "good" ones because they weren't very good mates either.

I don't really know what I can tell more about these books. They are always the same. The characters always cry their eyes out. There's always two huge dramas, one in the romance and the other in the main plot. There's always someone who really wants to mate and someone who really doesn't. A couple fights happen. Then someone gets hurt and suddenly they all realize they love each other. HEA. All this amidst very hot and sweaty sex.

This book had an interesting premise, and it was completely wasted. The characters all held idiot balls, and are complete unrealistic let alone relatable in any way. Plot points were glossed over or completely skipped, absolutely nothing was fleshed out and the entire book moved at the speed of light and problems were created on one page and resolved on the book. There were some completely irrelevant scenes causing this book to move so damned fast, but reading it was a difficult slog.

Ok, hold up a sec... Trey walks up to Jack ( on of the hunters from Book 1 and a werewolf ) and slices his cock and balls off. Then Trey reassures Ty that despite being a werewolf, Jack won't regrow his cock and balls, the wound will just heal. Then, like a page later, Cord is freaking out because Avery's passed out, at which point Frank reassures Cord that Avery will heal just fine from a few bullet wounds, after all they've seen "shifters re-grow limbs that have been hacked off".

Erm... what??? Is it just me or does that not sound right? You can regrow an arm, but your cock's a lost cause?

Otherwise, I did like this book more than the first one. Mainly because things actually take time to happen. It's not like the whole thing with Addison blows up, he meets his other mate the next day, then the day after everything's ok with all 3 of them. In this book I think stuff actually takes a few weeks. Making it more believable to me. ( Cuz I totally have no problem going along with sabertooth tiger shifters being believable! That's kinda hot. ;) )

I did still catch myself rolling my eyes a bit at how easily all the guys in the book cried or teared up. Maybe I've just been around the wrong men in my life? Maybe there's a really outwardly emotional subset that I've yet to meet?

Either way, this was better than the first book, but still didn't blow me away. Don't know if I'm going to go to the third book.

In some ways I felt that this book is much like the first in the Purrfect Mates series -Here Kitty, Kitty, which was that it was a little too fast paced for my own taste.
However unlike the first book the second felt more thought out and the characters felt more believable.
Overall found the concepts fascinating. This is not the first book i have read of Joyee Flynn and I feel that she has a wonderful and wicked imagination as well as an extraordinary talent of creating extraordinary plots and loveable characters.

Author Trey Donovan smells one of his mates at a party to celebrate his brother's return home from 30 years of toucher at the hands of hunters, Addison Cambell is a werewolf from the local pack.
After mating with Addison, Trey moves in with him but quickly realises that Addison is still hung up on his ex-boyfriend. With a broken hart Trey leaves and moves into a new home and decides to try and start a new life with out the one that is soon to be known as Him.
While at a furniture store shopping for a new bed Trey meets his other mate. Jasper Knight is a werewolf who has saved enough money to travel from one pack to another in the hopes of finding his mate, when he find him he is not willing to let him go without a fight.

Ms. Flynn uses unbelievably poignant and emotional boundaries to write this tale. I was initially put off by how quickly Trey and Addison jumped into bed with each other, but as the story progressed and I read about the obstacles they faced (many due to their quick tumble), I realized this part of the story was needed to set up the rest of the storyline. My Little Kitty has many different characters; all are vivid in their roles and allow the reader to imagine this sensual world full of shifters. Then you have the heat and spice that seems to pour from the pages and the added dangers that jump out at different times, making this one story I definitely appreciated for the moral that can be learned from it. Nicely done!

typical joyee flynn serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical joyee flynn? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :

lynn hagen
stormy glenn
scarlett hyacinth
carol lynne
gabrielle evans

unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win

I like this series and enjoyed this story. How the mates got together finally. My only complaint was that it seems over the top fast paced. Frantic really. Maybe if it has slowed down just a bit there could have been more details and back stories. I did enjoy the story and it was an entertaining read.

Cute story, told in the first person. The first person POV makes it harder for a character to express regret for their actions, especially since we only hear from Trey. I would have like to have been able to really feel what Addison might have felt. Otherwise, it was great: a cute, sexy and light M/M/M true-destiny mate story, I just love destined-mates stories.

I enjoyed this one more than the first. It was a good read. Since it is short there isn't much depth. I still thought it was a nice uncomplicated read.
