About the author

Ai Yazawa (Japanese: 矢沢あい, Yazawa Ai) is a Japanese manga author and illustrator. Her pen name comes from singer Eikichi Yazawa, of whom she is a fan.
Yazawa started her comics career in 1985. She specialises in shojo manga (girls' comics). Most of her works have been serialised in the magazines 'Ribon', 'Cookie' and 'Zipper'.
Yazawa's stories focus on young, often rebellious women and their relationships. The characters are always very stylish, and Yazawa herself is known for her sense of fashion. (She even attended a fashion school for some time after high school.)
Among her most famous manga are Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (I'm No Angel, 1992–1995), Neighborhood Story (1995-1998), Paradise Kiss (1999-2004), and Nana (2000-2009), the latter awarded a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2003. Some of these works have been adapted into anime and live action movies.

i'm making my life's mission to hate on takumi. i don't care he's a 2d character, there's men like him in our world and i hate all of them

I actually hated this volume, because I care way too much about these characters. I can't stop reading. I need to, but I can't.

Other thought: This made me so sad, I hate that Nana is marrying Takumi and I hate that she and other Nana aren't speaking. I LOVED HER AND NOBU TOGETHER CAN THIS SERIES NOT MESS WITH MY AND THEIR HAPPINESS.

But it's still amazing. It's just really, really sad.

the desolation of seeing everything falling apart while u can’t do anything about it. nana is on the edge of the world, while the only thing u can do is watch and wait for the drop

Nice to sit out in the sun and read Nana. Even a depressing Nana such as this one. I'm so caught in up these people's lives it's like they're my friends in a way. Man, is this one a soap opera.

I have no idea what's going to happen now. It's so sad!!!

I did like the bonus manga showing the history of Trapnest. That was nice.

Once again, this volume had me sobbing. The story is so well thought-out and the characters are all interconnected but complex and messy. I am so unhealthily attached to this series and its characters.

- Takumi's manipulation
-Hachi not standing up for herself
- Poor Nobu has been betrayed( what a sweet boy)
-Takumi breaking Reira's heart( since he knows that she is in love with him but have the nerve to ignore it)
-And the angst too real for this world

This was heartbreaking all around, you really don't know what anyone is going through just from the surface, and I think that's the main lesson here from the story of the two Nanas.

I wonder how thier paths in life will cross, because it's already looking so sad for them, each of them living a truly lonely life.

Vemos como esta noticia afecta a todos, en mayor o menor medida, en ambos grupos. Además descubrimos relaciones y sentimientos ocultos, así como el pasado de varios de ellos. A pesar de todos los capítulos tristes, podemos entender (que no compartir) la decisión de Nana, y su creencia de que la actitud de Takumi cambiará. Se ve como abusa de ella, la quiere alejar de sus amigos en un palacio de cristal, y que acepte que nunca será su prioridad.

I'm in pain, everything is falling apart around Nana without her being able to stop it. I'm very curious about how things will develop from this volume on, because there seems to have been an important shift in the dynamics between the characters.
Something I love about this manga is the fact that the more volumes I read, the more complex the characters, their emotions, and their issues seem to become. All of them are very nuanced and flawed, very realistic and human.

Credo che questo sia uno dei pochissimi volumi di Nana a cui non mi sento di dare 5 stelle. Non perché non sia bellissimo, perché lo è sempre, ma perché mi fa venire una rabbia incredibile.
Il modo in cui Hachi sceglie di non affrontare le sue stesse responsabilità, il fatto che vada a letto con Takumi con tanta tranquillità, il modo in cui lei e Nana si allontanano... Mi da sempre fastidio pensare a quanto sia vicino alla realtà questo concetto, per cui i silenzi finiscono per mandare tutto quanto irrimediabilmente a puttane.
Ogni volta che lo leggo e ci ripenso, mi sento triste e arrabbiata.
